thats the beauty of xball,

Ive seen games in the CXBL start out like that, a team going up 10-1 after the first half only to crumble in the second half and lose 11-10

stuff like that does happen.

It'll be a good game and tough for both squads. It's still a team sport, if you have a couple good players great, but if they're doing all the work... well that's how vicious fell last year.

Cal State comes in with a couple pro's, but also a squad that all play well, and play well together. It's taken a long time, but our roots are deep now, and if the team plays this final match with the same unity and heart they have in the past, it's all over.

WEST COAST OFFENSE

Its funny how sure all you *******s were that long beach was taking it.... But hey at least they got five whole points.

If you look at intensity, from ANY of the teams, I'd say thats 90% of why the games scored the way they did. Its not that hard to see why they had thirty second points.

Congrats Eagles, Triple Crown?

Not in Florida, but just a few hours away in Charleston, SC and I certainly understand it. The heat and humidity kill teams who travel south and aren't ready for it.

I'm an alumni and wasn't down in Lakeland this year, but I battled with Cal State my last two years in college. The first time we met, they won and knocked us out in the semis. My senior year, we beat them and won the title. With that being said, Cal St is a great team and plays extremely well. I have nothing but respect for Bornstein, Tregarthen, Moy, and the rest of the supporting cast on that team. They are full of ridiculous paintball players. I feel like they get a lot of hate because they are from the West Coast, but if you've ever had to battle them for a title, your opinion WILL change.

FGCU, I know nothing about your team, but if you guys could handle Cal St and beat them like you did, props to you. I was a little worried about the competition this year and didn't think anyone would be able to beat CSLB. I'm glad to know that someone was able to step to the plate and not only compete with Cal St, but beat them. They have been the standard for college paintball since they started playing class A in 2010.

FGCU, your #DunkCity Eagles basketball team made a huge splash this year in basketball, and your paintball team followed it up with an upset this year!

Keep up the good work and congrats guys! In the future, I hope the Tennessee paintball team can work back up to where we used to be and give you all a run for you money.

Also -- have to give a shout out to Kennesaw State. I've been able to watch that club grow from their first year to now. Keep up the good work guys!

In my opinion, a lot of what contributed to FGCU dominance this year was attitude. They came in to the tournament having practiced hard and with one goal: destroy every team they come up against. They weren't happy until they were in double digits on every team, including the finals. Even after putting the score up the 8-4, they didn't slow down in the slightest bit and pushed even harder to rack up as many points as they could.

Imagine what it's like to watch FGCU play and put up the kinds of scores they did all the way from prelims. Even if you watched them play and thought you had them figured out, it has to be intimidating to look at the scoreboard tick over to a zero and keep going every match. That's what they wanted: to get in everyone's face and look impossible to beat.
