Went over to my best (female) friends house with a bottle of rum, to vent my troubles away. Not an abnormal occurance over the past 5~ years, however tonight we ended up hooking up, and confessing our mutual feelings towards each other... She has. Boyfriend.

What was it about last night? Everyone was trying to get loose. Everyone. I had worked a good 16-hour day and came home to pass the **** out, and it took me 45 minutes to find parking. And that's with searching +/- 10 blocks from my house. I live in the middle of what is essentially the "party" district in Pittsburgh on weekends, but I've never seen it as crazy as last night.

STOP right there. Do not hook up with a girl that you work with. I have done this 2 times. The first time basically got me fired (I quit before they were about to fire me, I would still be at that job today). The next girl..well it's just awkward as hell every time we see eachother. There have been times when is she crying over me while she works. Co-workers know about us and it just makes everything awkward when we are in the same room, department etc. It's just not a good situation to be in. It's all dandy when you two are dating but the ****ery comes when you two break up.

x2, work becomes awkward as **** after you break up. Can't exactly avoid an ex when you have to see them everyday. Not to mention dealing with all the **** from other coworkers too.

Yea that's the thing I have been thinking about , we work in different parts of the building so I really only see her when I need to . Yea but that's the main concern of mine so I mean ill see what happens , maybe we will just be friends .

So we went out with my friend, his friend from Chicago and 4 girls they knew in ATL. Halfway through the night, during a cab ride, the girls were like, "You know Ted, we really thought you were an ******* and a massive douchebag at first, but you're actually a really nice, really cool guy."

So that's two weekends in a row I've been told I'm an *******/douchebag.

I still don't know why. (Although the below story may have some bearing on that...)


EDIT: Long story short, I ended up quad posing with some people who were apparently gay (did not know this at the time) and there is a picture of two of them mirin' dat ***.

Also had a great night. Had sex, ate a small edible, and watched cloud atlas w/ the gf. Movie was pretty hard to really follow and piece together. It's so hard to understand what is being said in that movie... Might have to watch it again and pick up on all the stuff I missed.

Definitely enjoyable. It's excellent money and lets you have a lot of social interaction without blowing wads of cash on alcohol. It's usually hard to find someone who wants to be enemies with the bartender at the place he's drinking, so people are naturally kind-spirited to you (even the drunken douchebags and barely-dressed *****es...you have what they want, you know?). Plus you can have a huge effect on the vibe of the bar you're working in, so most of us who care about making a good drink will add some flair and humor to really make the place feel different from any other bar.

Of course, don't forget that you'll have to deal with people you don't like haha. But still a ton of fun. It's good for where I am now, as a 23-yo graduate with a degree in music lol. You can only do it so long IMO though...I remember the manager once hired his friend who was 45. It just comes off as creepy past a certain age, especially when the crowd is all in their 20s and lower 30s.

I'd like to try it some time. I really like meeting new people and getting to talk to them. You have to be 21 in VA, so I can't yet, but I would like to try it eventually. I'm glad you enjoy it.
