People don't understand that lots of the things that aren't classified as "assault weapons" are just as deadly as the ones that are.

SKS isn't an assault weapon in CT, and yet it was designed for warfare and has a bayonet lug...?

Sliding stocks and pistol grips don't make a weapon much more lethal in most scenarios.
