is it the player or does the LUXE makes the player?
hey guys, a ref at a local field is telling everyone that the LUXE makes the player but everything i know, a few local players, even a guy who runs a pro shop says he's crazy and its not the gun its the player so the only question is, when your using the LUXE is it 80ish% LUXE and 20ish% player or is it the 80ish% player and 20ish% LUXE? just a heads up he is a member on the nation but i wont tell y'all his username

Tell him to prove it. Give the LUXE to a brand new, never played before rental and tell him to take out a rental 98...

Player, I use either my stock class phantom or TPX, and take out plenty of people who use Luxes, Geos, Egos, ect...

Do it, I just get players like that to waste their paint on me. Just stick my head out and dodge the paintballs while singing, "I like making people waste their paint, I like making people waste their paint." This does end up helping you snap shot, or at least the snap part...

This is probably just a troll thread and I shouldn't even be responding, but here goes (in case the thread starter is even half serious):
The answer to any % Gun vs. % Player skill question is that it is always the player's responsibility to use the equipment effectively. A $100 Spyder using decent paint can eliminate just as many people as a Luxe in the right hands. Conversely, a noob with a Luxe w/ Rotor and 1100 paintballs on his back will still have just about zero chance against a veteran pump player who walks on the field with 50 paintballs.
It's not the gun, it's the player.
(And Luxes are no better than the other high-end guns 2/3 its price.) Personally, I'd never own such an ugly space-dildo. But that's just me. Cheers!  |

i had no problem going up against the gun with my cheap lil mini
i'm almost as casual as it gets on the field but when i see these luxe try hard kids....i almost always look for them first

Hee hee, nothing wipes the smile off a guy with a Luxe's face faster than getting gogged with a mech Spyder-clone. Greatest feeling ever.
I'd tweak the statistic a little and say 85% player, 15% gun. Going up against someone who can shoot 15 bps with a few pulls of the trigger is a little bit harder than when that person has something that shoots one shot per pull, at a much slower and inconsistent rate. As the markers get more and more rapid-shooting, the stats get closer.

Does not matter the marker, what matters is the guy behind the trigger. I've taken out guys with the Luxe with my Alpha Black; a good gun gives an advantage, but skill gives the greatest advantage of all.

Wowsa I don't know what a Luxe is... but I'm assuming from the comments its about as ugly as a Shocker...
I took out 6 people and won a Free for all my last game, and I wasn't using any Luxe...
So I'm assuming its the player...
Or I have a Luxe built into me somewhere...
What's a Luxe again?

The Luxe definitely allows some players to be sloopy on basic gun skills because of its features.
