This has probably been asked before but how do you know the difference between an Indy10 and 11?

I bought it secondhand and I can't get a response from the seller.

The two main differences between the 10 and 11 are the rammer and bolt pin. The 11 bolt pin should have an alien jewel on top.

So technically speaking it's the same marker except for that one difference?
What if the jewel was removed by someone? How do you know then?

The bolt pin is lighter, and the rammer is lighter aswell.

Thanks for the quick reply...
Apologies for the stupid questions, it's just that there is no-one down here where I live that knows Aliens. I'm the first and only person in our area to own one. I bought it from one of the XSV guys and he said they got the markers at the end of 2010, hence the confusion.

The pin is hollow - jelew missing you see a hole.
Also the 2011 have brighter "dust" finishes

Ok, here's another really dumb question

So my valve stem is shaking loosely back and forth, it shoots fine and all, but I'm just wondering why it's shaking around. Should I just leave it?
There is also a tiny leak coming from the LPR or the LPR housing, what should I do to fix that?

Hmmm the valve spring may not be sitting on the cup seal properly. That's probably what you're hearing move around? That's the only thing I can think of. The cup seal and stem would normally be held in position even without air.

As far as the LPR leak, you'll need to get the spray bottle out and see exactly where it's coming out. From under the cap or the inner body? Or the end of the cap?

Ok, thanks. I don't have any air right at this moment, so I'll keep you posted.

I think I figured it out, the seal let go from the stem. Thus letting it move around like that.

Ahhh yes I never considered the cup seal coming loose a possibility since that almost never happens. Tighten it back on, maybe put a dab of blue locktite on and you should be golden.

Ok the LPR leak is coming from just under the LPR cap, I've changed the orings and the leak still persists. Any ideas gents?

I have a question; I don't like how the small screw (the one near where the LPR body fits into the gun. I guess it would be similar to what the Ego torpedo would be) towards the right side of my 2010 Independence sticks out a small amount. I'm wondering if filing it down a millimeter or so on the end that goes into the marker will have any consequences.

I'm thinking not, but I want to make sure.

If you file it down and one day it leaks, you'll never be able to get it out an seal it up again lol. Don't fret..........play ball

So I got my first flukey indy Ive fought with this thing for a few days, and I think its got me beat. As soon as I air the marker up, with the bolt back, it leaks out of what seems like everywhere! However, as soon as I push the bolt forward, it redirects all the leaking air down the barrel. IDFK. The HPR and the LPR are both together right. Im really stumped.

Im sorry, but Im not totally sure what that would look like and where it would be if I were looking for it. I looked in the manual that I downloaded and didnt really understand where the seal is... Maybe I missed it. Can I have a little more detail? Where is it located?
