Now there you're wrong. No company will EVER touch GBA sales, and I'm guessing the story will remain the same when the next GB is released (the DS is not part of the GB line). Apple has pretty solid desktop/notebook sales. Their switch to Intel is only going to enhance those sales. Not to mention Apple has the iPod, again, like the GBA, untouchable. Sony, well Sony has their work cut out for them this console war, seeing as how their late to the game this time around.

Apple is trying to break into the portable entertainment market with their newer iPod serries (in fact, not too long ago, Appleinsider.com had a story about iPods now being the majority of the sales for the company). While I doubt this will effect iPod sales too much, it pretty much strikes any chance of Apple moving into the gaming sector of portable entertainment. With laptop and desktop sales declining on their end, I see the focus of Apple slowly moving away from computers and into the realm of portables. Remember Microsoft was late to the game last generation and they still beat out the PS2 so don't give up hope for Sony yet.

size dosnt really matter... makeing just portable game player isnt really smart because if you go to hang out with friends and you pull out your psp and start playing it you should be punched in the face, no one wants to see you play video games... witch is why MS is being smart and doing something more, play games is just a tiny little point of what this thing can do... good by apple and sony, MS unfournatly still rules the world... and they are right if this is truely what it can do and they can bring it at a reasonable price, this will change lives of how we exist with technology in our daily lives.

what i dont get is Apple in all its knowledge of knowing what the ppl want why didnt they think of something like this before?

this isnt for kids... were not talking about a toy. this isnt something to play your measly games and listen to music on, this is something better, this is just as portable as anything else. look at a laptop... you cant stick that in your pocket can you? yet millions of ppl have one, when these come out ppl will be making the switch. to adults if it runs on a battery its portbale, and thats what MS is planing on.
