RMXL is back for 2013.

We have teamed up with GRC Paintball to make this season even bigger. Are goal at RandM has always been a player first atmosphere and we feel Rob and his crew will bring the same feel.

League info:

*Format: modified X-BALL
- run with a x-ball style time clock but at any point one team is leading by 7 points the game will end before the clock runs out.(example 9-2, 13-6 ect)

*Match time: 2 10 min half's (clock stops between points, (same clock as used in RMXL 2011)

*Penalties: Major 2for1 miner 1for1

*ROF: 15.4

*Paint: $40 and $45 FPO

*Roster size: 15 per event 18 ids for the season plus 3 pit ids

- rosters will be locked the Monday before the event

- must play one event to be able to be rostered for finals

* Finals: double elimination format

*League jerseys: Teams must all have matching jerseys. can be as simple as long sleeves or custom jerseys. (custom league jerseys can be purchased at the start of the season from the league for $70 per jersey. team logo must be submitted by December 31.)



* Rule book: a copy of the full rule book will be available December 31. (basically D2 rules modified for time clock ect.)



League Fee: $1000

Deposit of $500 due December 31 2012
Balance of $500 due by March 31 2013

May I state that I feel that 15.4 bps is somewhat of an archaic sentiment to the old Xball days. I understand the usage for it, however, in my opinion I feel that it slows the game down a bit. Therefore, with 10 minute halves, it may lead to long points. While not necessarily a bad thing, I am wondering if anyone feels that 12.5 bps would be more prudent at this juncture, to be in more accordance with national and regional league rules. Does anyone else feel the same? If not, than I will stand alone on this issue.

There will be a owners meeting in March and we can talk about the BPS. I was thinking 15.4 to keep the true x-ball feel.

Loving everything about the RMXL format so far (except switch bps to 12.5 ), should be a blast!

I think that while the "original xball" feel of the 15.4 bps is great, it is unwarranted and nothing more than novel. The field size has changed and bunkers have changed. While everything about the league is great, in order to keep with almost all other local and national leagues the ROF should be 12.5

Just my opinion, but it seems to be the consensus thus far anway

I understand where you both are coming from and why. But I do disagree that 15.4 will "slow" the game down. In fact being able to shoot 15.4 makes games faster. Just compare any CXBL, USPA points to any PSP points. PSP points are by far much slower and drawn out. 15.4 makes in easier to lane and put players in there for making 15.4 a bit faster in points.

I also disagree with going with the "norm" of national and regiional events. Why because those events are all race to format. And having the big differences between race to and x ball is what makes it good for paintball in general. More choices for the players. Different formats, etc...

Yes it may cost a bit more to shoot 15.4 compared to 12.5 but its really not that much of a difference to justify using 12.5 over 15.4 because of cost.

I also disagree with 15.4 being arachic. 15.4 and xball have been alive and doing very well in cxbl for years now and USPA for the past 2. I also believe that 15.4 and xball are what this sport needs again. Nascar fans dont watch racing to see drivers go around the track for hrs. They came to see crashes. Same goes for paintball. Non playing and playing fans of paintball dont want to see 7,8,10 min points. They want to see players get ripped up. And in my opinion true xball and 15.4 has given the fans more then any other format. I may lean toward xball because I have always loved the format. But I have played them all(minus grid fighters) and xball is by far my choice when it comes to format.

I know Rick will look into and talk with all the owners about this and I know they will do therir best to make all parties happy. Good luck to all teams this season no matter what happens with this.

For the league jerseys who is the supplier? also is there going to be custom names and numbers on the backs? Also is there going to be a more specific date on when you will want the cash for them? if this is all gonna be discussed at the owners meeting im gonna shut my mouth now and just wait lol

By all means if you have any questiong feel free to ask. We have been working with style supply. You can get a name and number on the jersey. You will need to pay for them by December 31, along with a team logo so we can get them made in plenty of time so all teams wanting jerseys have them for the start of the season.

Changed the max number of teams from 16 to 12 so teams can play two matches per event.

I say keep the 15.4 it makes the game much more interesting. Plus with is being xball this gives teams time to figure out what to do if thye keep getting cut down. From reffing and playing various leagues at 12.5 and 15.4 also true xball to xball lite to race to i have noticed the leagues with the higher bps have shorter points. also if paint is an issue you will shoot around the same amount of paint an event fo either bps. 12.5=longer points and 15.4=more paint at once but both roughly equal to the same amount.

I can personally vouch for Rick and everyone over at R&M; they're great bunch of guys and gave it a hell of a chance to try this league out last year. Im glad to see them coming back. Good luck to all teams, fields and owners
