It's a very difficult complex question that will require allot of self-examination, sociological studies, legal remedies and mass discussions about this constitutional issue. What I will say, is that America has had a terrible tragedy bestowed upon a nation and that my heart goes out to the families. I do not think swift actions, quick revamping's of gun control, outright fights about the amendment being restrictive / not restrictive enough, is in the best interest of law / people at this time.
My political philosophy centers around libertarianism, and like to field both sides of the issue. But something as complex as this does not warrant reactionary behavior to justify the tragedy, but rather careful contemplation and time.
What I will say, is that America is the greatest country on earth (IMHO), it has issues (who doesn't), much of which are overcome by the ingenuity and drive of a country based on the greatest ideals of all. While a situation like this questions the rational of the entire nation, there must be a call to calm, before even more difficulty is inflicted.
On that note, it's a shame Sepp Blatter isn't fired for his incompetency and corruption, figures they would base FIFA in Switzerland, home of the turn a blind eye to Nazi banking pilfered gold, neutrality my ***, there is no neutral when wrong is wrong.
