lurker lube kicks *** for regs.
It's thick and transparent so you can see oring wear and debris over time. It's also dirt cheap compared to other lubes.

I use pooty(thinner) stuff on the powercore, lurker on the reg and other static seals on the body.
Thinner lubes tend to be more slick but need to be applied more frequently, whereas thicker lubes stay in place better.

DOW33 on the reg, DOW55 on statics (like the frame orings) and gunsav in the drivetrain (monkeypoo on the main seal; it stays in place for a good long time)

Heard newer vapors have a post trigger travel set screw (so you can't mash your microswitch)

Any truth to this still waiting on mine....

Not to my knowledge; There's always been a metal bar inside the vapors that acts as a back stop, but every kid out there is trying to move the trigger as far forward as possible and they end up bending the switch anyway.

so the vapors bolt is flying forward. it was shooting fine last night then i ran the tank dry and the bolt few foward and released the rest of the air. i didnt think anything off it till i filled up my tank this morning and it did it again? i lubed every oring and turned my pressure all the way down and slowly turned it on. then the bolt just flys foward and it spews air untill i turn it off from the asa. what do you think this could be now?

Is the bolt rapidly firing when this is happening? Mine has done that upon airing up before. I just dry fire it once and it stops.

It could be your tank reg (overpressurizing), your HPR (overpressurizing), the solenoid (stuck in position), the valve (stuck in position), or a nicked bolt sail (critical component leak)

...Have you ever considered sending it in to Machine for Ken to look at?

So our team is picking up a machine GI sponsor for 2013. I was wondering if an slp reg would work or if a pro adjustable with all shims taken out would be best.

SLP regs have a tendency to create dropoff with spoolies like the Vapor, Luxe, and VX (haven't tried an SLP on the GT yet)

I'd stick with a pro-adjustable with all of the shims pulled out.

I will say my GT shoots pretty amazing with an slp. I have both so I was wondering which is preferred. I figure the pro adjustable is always the good choice. As always thanks for the help ProMod. Ill post up if I have any other questions and refer my teammates to your tuning guide once we get these in.

So 450PSI is the best for the Vapor?

I think my Ninja Pro now has 1 shim in it, giving a 550PSI pressure. Better to take that shim out or doesn't it really matter?

...and that's just from this thread....Let's look at the other two vapor threads.

In english, get a tank reg that sits between 350 and 600 PSI. I personally prefer using a 450PSI output tank.

Anyone else starting to see a trend?

Going forward, use the search function that's built into PbN, it'll spare my fingers a work-out. (PS: all of these results are found by going into the tuning guide as well as the more popular vapor thread and searching for PSI. I also left the quotes in so if you click that little arrow you next to each name it'll take you to the actual quote, in context.)

i might be crazy or a complete noob but what is the "top hat"?
the only reason i ask is because i have tried all of the o-ring swap but still am getting a very small leak out of the vent port.

a small leak out of the vent port could be caused by the bolt sail, the efficiency valve that's inside the bolt guide, or the solenoid. I'd check them in that order.
