its funny, everyone says "THAT SHOW IS FAKE", but most of you wouldnt do half of the **** he has to do. the only thing the man doesnt do, is spend the night there and he has a camera crew.

Bear Grills HAS been proven a fake.

There are episodes where he has "spent the night" somewhere and was actually just picked up by his team and taken to a hotel for the night and dropped of before dawn. Or (as said before) he'll be "in the middle of nowhere" but in actuality they will be next to a road or something.

No doubt he has a phenomenal amount of knowledge and skill regarding survival... his show is just a phony facade, that is all. Whether or not I choose to "do half of the **** he has to do" does not change the fact that the show is set up and phony.

His show is set up to demonstrate what you could do in a situation. Regardless if he doesn't spend the night there he has still, eaten raw zebra, climbed into a camel he just freshly gutted, drank water from elephant ****, etc...

I understand that... but they never say that. They portray him like he actually doing 100% of everything. I've never once hear him explain how to make pine shelter to reflect the heat of firepit, then say "It works, but I'm gonna stay at the Best Western Motel tonight anyways. kthxbye [commercial break]."

Some of the stuff he is doing 100% which is what the show wants the audience think is happening the whole time.
Other stuff he is only doing it when the camera is on and sleeps/eats normal when the camera is off.

who cares what they show, i like survivorman because he is just realistic, but bear is a ****ing badass. hes ****ing sleeping inside a camel. i watch him even though i know its fake because bear grylls is a real man. no doubt he could actually survive out in the wild if he had too, why do that if your already eating turtles and grubs for the show.

who cares if he's that far away from the highway, his purpose is to show what could be done if you need to do it and how far a human can push themselves if need be. but dont call him "fake" if you wouldnt in a million life times even attempt to do what he does.

The guy is legit, some of the stuff is too dangerous to actually do and risk his life. But I could understand some anger because he actually says, this is real, this is where it's at, in reality it's not.

Bear Grylls offers "advice" in the guise that it is the best survival technique.
Alot of his shenanigans are dangerous and the WRONG way to do things.
As a climber, I was appalled that he even suggested repelling down a cliff face with parachute cord... absolutely retarded.
Bear Grylls is little more than a Fear Factor wannabe that duped the Discovery Channel into thinking his "skillz" are survival worthy.

Although I agree that there are some inaccuracy's, tell me this.
If you made a show on how to perform CPR and First Aid, would you go out in the street, stab someone, and then show how to save them?
There are times where it's better to show things in a controlled situation, so you knew how to do them right instead of him being piss scared and worried and doing things the wrong and nervous way.

No, but I would show the correct way to do it. All phoniness aside, there are alot of things bear gryllz is "teaching" people that is the wrong way to do it... sometimes even fatally wrong. And it's all because people think it's 100% real.

I certainly wouldn't show someone how to CPR wrong just to make it more dramatic, would you?
