Tank wont come out of my EGO 11

Hey!

My ninja 50/45 HPA tank will not come off my ego for some reason, it has no air in it either. Could someone help me please, and when I try to unscrew the tank as I normally do the reg starts to screw off instead of the whole tank.

Thanks

Sounds like the bonnet threads have bound to the eclipse on/off. Unfortunately this isn't the first time it's happened with eclipse on/offs.
Take it to your field and see if they can get it off for you. I would expect to at least replace the bonnet of the reg. Worst case is you're out an on/off and bonnet.
It has to do with the tolerances of the threads and how they match up. If that's the case the issue was unavoidable at some point.

Thanks for the quick reply

Could I use this gun still? It looks as if it were screwed in properly. Or should I not risk it?

I wouldn't take the chance just in case the threading on one piece or another were to snap. You don't really know if it's just stuck, cross threaded, or actually bound together. You could have broken threads and not know it. Best to just take care of it and see where you are at.

If the tank wants to come off just let it come off and then see what you can do with the reg. A strap wrench will be the way to do it without marring the reg body but as mentioned the bonnet may be trashed.

Co2 valves are made out of brass, which is softer. HPA bonnets are usually aluminum in most cases, which can gaul to the threads of the on/off.

The pin might be a little longer meaning it turns on earlier while you're screwing in.

If you had the POPS turned one while trying to screw your tank it that can cause a considerable amount of friction between the ASA and tank bonnet. If it is hard to screw in then most likely the threads in the ASA are galled up now. If you have never dealt with this kind of thing, I say take it to your nearest pro shop and have them get the tank off for you.

It screws on easy. It just takes a lot to de-pressurize

As it should because the gas is keeping it tight. That's why they say to unscrew a little and dry fire to get the gas out of the asa and line.
