Are you guys all sure that its gone?? I mean its such a small on the side thing I cant believe they'd do away with pump. Maybe the new scheduling is gonna be tight but still.. I would hope they just didnt make any announcement about it and happened to forget in the press release when putting down all these crazy new format changes.

Anyways I may not play nppl pump but I enjoy watching it, verry spectator friendly and you dont see moves like that in any other format. I mean come on its pump on a seven man field.

Trueballers definately want to see pump come back for the 2012 season. It will be a huge mistake to drop it.. Pump players are part of the paintball world too...aren't we?

They are looking into and want to keep pump, if there is just to many teams playing hb to fit pump hopefully they wont be afraid to start it up mid season and do atleast chicago and dc

everytime a format dies so does a little piece of paintball

good luck to the nppl and hopefully they can get something worked out.

Usually it is played with split prelims (Friday and Saturday) and then Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals (Sunday). They usually only scale it down when the turn-out is low or they do like they did in DC this past year (pump teams played D4 prelims and Pump Finals Sunday).

I just want it clear I am not speaking for my team, anyone on it(besides me), or its level of participation in the NPPL.

My own personal opinions.

Still think that pump division isnt the Black sheep of the NPPL? Its the easiest money/division to run. The price difference for the 2011 season???Was that the kiss on the way out?

What I dont understand is why you would sign a petition to give this league your money? Instead I will invest my money in other leagues, series and events. Here are some links that might interest some of you if you feel the same. If you do not share my opinion then enjoy the 2012 NPPL season and all it has to offer. If anyone would want to coordinate what events you will make it to this year then there is a thread started for that already. I hope the PSP reads this thread and can pick up where the NPPL left off. The one PSP pump event that was held was half the cost and just as much fun if not more so. The format was definatly different but a great time.

https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3713764
Im sure there will be new postings/changes in this since this thread has been started.

https://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?f=638
UWL - The absolute most fun I have had playing a tournament in a long time thanks to Tom Cole. When my team played we played with all pumps with the exception of two or three. Even with a team of all pumps you would do more than hold your own and have a blast doing it.

https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3708415
An airball series held by none other than BLITZ. The feedback on these events has been amazing and if bieng on a vid playing against the best pump teams is what you seek... The camera is rolling at every event they hold... Check the thread.

In the end I hope all the pump teams that have an interest in playing this year can end up in ONE spot this year to have an unforgettable pump event for 2012.

Sent a message to NPPL...

Maybe we are too friendly out there in promoting this sport for them....should we start screaming and yelling, playing on after we're hit, duck tape batteries to our barrels, and throw our markers in the pits to be considered part of the NPPL?

Possibly buy a couple of extra cases and donate them out to out favorite charities?

Darn you TG guys for playing all 4 events without getting one penalty point!!!!
You ruined it! lol!!!! Hell did ANYONE get any penalties this year in any pump events? Ya these are the guys you want to eliminate
You want to save monies? Pull the refs for our games, we can call ourselves out from now on........

I have had a lot of fun this year, and made some great friends. It sickens me to have to sing for our dinners in order to save a type of play that started this industry.

How about you eliminate d4 and promote you feeder leagues instead.....Hmmmm

Much love Matthew Criscione!

You should see what I actually wrote to them

actually makes more sense, really no point in having d4, those teams can easily move up to D3.. i saw no difference in skill level between the D4 & D3 teams.

We were planning on playing HB and Vegas this coming year for sure. Hope it still happens. Whatever the reasons behind this is, hope it works out for the pump community
