Deadmau5 just threw down a rave at BC Place Stadium. Only way to describe it. He opened with FMl and spent the first 45 throwing down pure house beats, almost like you were listening to an At Play album.

It was an unhooked show too, so he gets to do whatever he wants. His set had very few huge build ups and big drops; everything was very subtle and evolving; sometimes as simple as just taking away the kick then bringing it back. Of course though, there were big builds for when he dropped Ghosts N' Stuff (at which point he yelled into the mic 'OMG GHOSTS N STUFF'), Griefers, and Some Chords. Overall, his set had a very chill, groovin' vibe about it; the way house shows should be IMO. It was a nice contrast to the build-drop-build-drop-build-drop styles of Alesso and Nero.

Alesso was one of the openers, and was just terrible. Fake, over exaggerated knob twisting, and old tracks we've all heard hundreds of times over the last two years (Adele remix? Really?). He was no different to a typical club DJ.

Nero was on before Mau5, and dropped some really interesting beats, as well as all their big hits. He also dropped a really cool remix of Icky Thump by The White Stripes. But towards the end of the set he started dropping cliche tracks like Bass Cannon, some Skrillex, Harlem Shake, etc, and had some awkward transitions into DnB tunes. Overall tho, the Nero set was pretty entertaining.

Has anyone here been to Lights all night in Dallas? My roommates and I are debating on going on a roadtrip for the 31st.

Any trance familia here?

Cannot wait for the end of March and ASOT 600 in NYC. Next episode of ASOT should bring the lineup and/or venue.

BcFan: I've been on a trance bug the past few weeks. Non stop Asot episodes. I wish I had the funds to go to Ultra/ASoT 600

Deadmau5 tonight in Hell Paso. Not the biggest fan but I'm banking on it being a fantastic show overall.

Debating if I should spend 30$ to go to a flux p concert on december 31st for a new years eve party.

I'm not much into dubstep but I can't find any house concerts in my area.
