I'm in the process of updating my gaming rig and am looking for some GPU suggestions. My main goal is to be able to max out Skyrim and run it with any and all HD texture packs that I am able to find in the workshop. I've been looking at the EVGA GTX 670 FTW (2GB). Would this be a sufficient card for doing so or is a SLI setup necessary? Thanks!
Forgot to mention this will be for a single display setup at 1920x1080.

I would think any of the kepler series cards should run this well since they were released around the same time

There are so many ENB mods it isn't even funny. Go on /r/skyrim, look through the first couple pages and somebody is bound to have posted a screenshot with an awesome graphics mod. Pick one you like and then ask the person what they used.

Just started playing this again. I had over 180 hours on my first character (Breton, typical warrior/all-around type). Now I got Dawnguard and Hearthfire, and I'm an Argonian, specializing in being a sneaky mother****er.

I remember reading about that on Reddit. Basically, it's unplayable while looking that good. He has over 100 mods, but he doesn't use them all at the same time. Somebody was saying to achieve this particular look, it's probably 50 separate mods. You'd have a specific mod to get the water look right, then another for the grass, then another for the rocks, the trees, etc. Even with a top of the line computer, you'd still get less than 30 FPS.
You can get similar results by modding that will be playable, but they won't be nearly as good-looking as this. Plus, you have to be able to find places that will really show off the mods.

From what I've been reading, it seems that some of these mods can be rather VRAM-intensive too. I'm curious to see how far one can push the visuals while maintaining playability. Amazing screenshots aside, I'd rather of liked to see how pretty it can be made while remaining playable.
By the way, anyone else excited about Elder Scrolls Online?

I bought this game so long ago and still have yet to finish it. Until then, no DLC for me. I really thought about getting them during the Steam sale though.

I love photography in real life and with mods, I enjoy taking screenshots around Skyrim. I just found a bokeh depth of field mod. It's impossible to actually play with it on though. Just a quick snapshot showing the ridiculous DOF. I couldn't get the right angle for the bokeh to show up, but supposedly it's there.

Do any of you have suggestions for running Skyrim stably with large amounts of mods?
In my excitement to push visuals, I hastily installed 20 or so new mods at once and ran into crash to desktop issues (consistantly occuring near Moonforge as I'm about to discover it). Unfortunately, my most recent saves are now corrupted and crash to desktop when attempting to load.

Those effects in games always trip me out. Every screenshot of the new Sim City I see has that, and it makes it look like pictures of the sweetest model train set ever built.
EDIT: Also, early 2013 release for Dragonborn on PC. Damn you xbox and your gross graphics.
