Its been confirmed by Valerie Evans from the NPPL games with Start on Thursday March 29th, they did this due to the fact that games ran into the dark last year. So registration will begin on Wednesday.

Exactly now people that have booked flights need to pay change penalties. Like they care its either they take the hit financially or we do.
**** this....NPPL raising prices and then changing the days the events start after they already posted it starts on the 29 which would be registration....WTF!

before this thread spirals out of control let's find out what is actually taking place. i havent heard anything about a 4 day tournament, and until i hear it from an nppl officiate myself i must contain my composer. Id suggest you all to do the same. It may be a mistake, it may be that theyre incorporating registration into the tournament day, it may be that only one division plays on thursday. Everyone calm down and until an official spokesman of the NPPL says something let's not jump to conclusions.
Just got the email and confirmed the events will be thursday thru sunday. also all teams will be getting the chips for their guns....7 or 5 free per team so that 8th and 9th player tough luck. they also released a updated nppa website. check ur emails!
I am sure those who already booked flights/took off work would rather play into the dark than have to switch everything to accommodate a Thursday start date.
I just don't understand these decisions. It is extremely hard for out of state people to take that much time off school/work. I really like the NPPL and support them constantly in PSP vs. NPPL arguments, but these decisions are just confusing. I rather play until midnight on fri/sat than start on Thursday. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way.
