After using my regular capacity spire all weekend at NCPA nationals, I was super impressed. Definitely interested in picking up one of the higher cap ones.

Here's a little more info from my source(s); from what I've been told the Hi-Cap shell and the spring-floor plate are prototypes (especially the floor plate). All the Spires that are out there now have the mounting/port holes in order to mount the Spring-loaded floor plate, so this was something that they had been wanting to do from the beginning. So with that I assume that it will be a "drop-in" replacement/upgrade part rather than a whole new floor plate system (and I am just speculating at this point). I was told that this might not be available till World Cup, but that was their opinion.

When I took the pictures I was kinda shocked to see the spring loaded floor plate since I hadn't heard anything on this at all. I really wanted to get pictures of the difference in weight but apparently someone had broken the scale at the shop there! I'm not sure if anyone really does care about the weight but I will try to so pics to compare the different loaders.

The higher capacity Spire is definitely awesome! It's about the same size as a standard rotor. It's really difficult to notice the difference in size between a spire 260 and a standard spire when you're playing. But, having the extra paint off the break is where I notice the largest difference and need for one.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.

I guess the only big difference to this is the start of the game when you can actually fill the hopper to capacity?

Still am not sure how I feel about extended capacity hoppers.

No, because you can reload when you have to and not when you need to...therefore allowing you to refill up to 260 again.

I'm still surprised how new this is to people... The first prophecy loader held something like 240..

Seriously, how many times does this have to be brought up in one thread?

If they got it to stay lighter and still keeping a low profile as a rotor. Then it will be the next loader taking over teams in all divisions

I got to use Dave's LV1 and loader at WCPPL Event #1... The loader holds approximately 1 and a half pods. I kept having to ask for a topper between points, the pit crew would add some paint and I would have to say "more please" haha. BTW the LV1 shot amazingly all day long!

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
