Im honestly just trying to follow your line of thinking here:
1. Abortion bad. (But expanding government by making the reproductive choice for you, by taking abortion away is good
)
2. Free Contraception or Contraception allowed in insurance plans bad (a responsible act that reduces bad abortion, that is frowned upon by religious conservatives even though it reduces or prevents bad abortions...wtf)
Okay, contraception/abortion bad. Okay, I get it
BUT THEN
3. Abortion is bad, so lets protect that unwanted pregnancy and bring it to fruition, however lets take away/reduce the saftey net that that child will need to remain fed and healthy.
So now a woman that otherwise would not have had to get on welfare/foodstamps ect, now gets to be on it because in conservative land, contraception and abortion aren't taking personal responsibility.
An easier way (in my mind anyway) to look at it is:
-Pregnancy putting mother in danger? No question. (my wife's family has a history of ectopic pregnancy so that is already a red flag for us.)
-Woman was raped? Not her choice to become pregnant through violence, give her that choice to move forward or not.
-Oh no, Im pregnant...(insert reason here). We let that woman (by herself or with her husband/or partner) decide for her self ( themselves) the best course of action for her (them) in her (their) private life(s) and let her (them) live with the consequences.
Personaly, abortion as birth control is not something I agree with, that is why it is not something I condone within the confines of my marriage.
HOWEVER, I would never pretend to know what is best for my neighbor, coworker or complete stranger halfway across the country. That is just silly and stupid.
