So I want to buy a camera for paintball most likely going to mount to my mask and wondering if the Contour is better then the r7 and which model to buy I'm not looking to spend over $200 really. thanks

R7 is better than the Contour for paintball usage.
1) The R7 was designed for paintball and therefore is going to stand up against impacts better. The Contour WILL NOT. My cousin and a few of my teammates use them and they MUST use the plastic cover case to keep it safe. It makes it bulky.
2) As I just mentioned, Size. The R7 is less of a target than the Contour will be

not many great action cameras out their that are low budget. although i will say if you decide to sink the cash into something that will give you tolerable quality the hd hero 3 is a worthy investment, i use mine not only for paintball but also for snowboarding, cliff diving and rock climbing.

(buying a cheap camera is gona put you with bad quality and skips, seeing as paintball is such a fast sport. you either go ahead and put up the cash up front or you will regret not while you ask yourself why all the other videos have such good picture quality.)

For 200 you should be able to pick up a GoPro HD Hero3 white. Add a few bucks for the handlebar mount and you're ready to go.

Hate the way that looks on a marker. Too bulky in my opinion

I have been using the Contour Roam since they came out years ago, it works great, and only costs $99 now...

I've been hit on the camera countless times, with no problem.

The quality is amazing, and the sound quality is the best out there.

Get the Polaroid xs100.

Its $150-160, 16mp 1080p action camera. Waterproof and shock resistant. Ive had many hits close range with this action cam and it stands up to the abuse.

Its the same size as the contour and to boot, it comes with all the mounting accessories you would ever need.

Also has a little switch at the back for 60fps mode for slow motion shots.

Great price and great cam. Surprised nobody mentioned it. Take a look at this link, one of the pics is a comparison of the three action cams:
