Well boys, the cat's outta the bag so I figured I'd start the thread earlier than inticipated.
I have given each of my markers names, and I <3 Resident evil, so I figured I'd name her Alice.
I don't have the body yet, but currently I'm working on the bolt kit for her.
I have the front section done (the part that actually closes the breech). A lot of this was guesswork, and I may end up remaking this slightly differently. I am going to install a pillow onto the front of this as well, to avoid rollback.
The shaft done (extra long cuz idk how long the overall finished thing will be):
Had to do some modifications to it today, and this is why:
after fixing:
It still does it a bit, but I have a feeling once I implement an anti rollback collapsible stalk, it'll be fine.
A handmade spring
And a spring retainer (I almost completely stripped the threads) I went with a YDNA style system to rotate it: holes in the cap for pins to go into (I'm kinda at a loss for proper words right now) to turn it. The holes serve a second purpose as a way to relieve pressure on the inside of the bolt system. Obviously I'm going to have to find a way to make the tool for it (anyone who knows Mastercam v9 wanna help with that?)
My body is away getting 'cocker barrel threads, a breech, a feedneck recepticle, detent holes, and eye holes cut into her. Basically this is all stuff that I didnt wanna attempt because screwing it up would really suck.
Stock Merlin Extrusion:
Other parts I currently own:
2litre+ on my friends F8 (his stock reg broke, I'm too lazy to call up DP so he's breaking it in for me)
The heart of her: 11/16 MQ2 valve
The brain of her: UNI-T for now, may go to a UL Yakuza.
<no pic, is one really needed?>
Almost forgot: There is a marker that is being donated to the cause that I need to pick up, a certain Diablo AR-1 that I can nab a few things off. I will be running that frame for a while, possibly the board.
Picked up a PM5 UL frame (I'll take a pic latar if needed) from xluben
Also have a BL CAM Drive
Still to make:
IVG thing to hold in the back of the valve
Still to buy:
UL Yakuza - I have one semi pending... ish.
What do you think?

body is in first post. probably shoulda been here, but oh well. I will reorganize later, and put up pics of the NEW drive train.
I am using a new, shorter spring that I like much more than the one I have a picture of, but there is a minimal difference and we all know what a spring looks like...
I also received an AR-1 from Spitlebug (I can't thank you enough) for parts. parts to be jacked - frame till I find a UL, possibly board (I dont really like it), possibly eye covers/eyes.
IDK if it will work as I JUST uploaded it.
Well, just got stuff back from cs900, and all I can say is: WOW. nice job. Thanks lots Cliff!
pics of course:

What this you need programmed now?? Is it the stationary piece of the bolt assembly that sits in the upper bore?
Do you know what type of control (Fanuc, etc) your machine uses? or how about this, what type of machine is selected when you post something from Masterclam?
As told by Stobaeus ...someone who had begun to learn geometry with Euclid, when he had learnt the first theorem, asked Euclid "What shall I get by learning these things?" Euclid called his slave and said "Give him threepence since he must make gain out of what he learns".

haha basically its a tool like your shocker bolt guide tool that I need help with, pins <.125" dia (the holes are 1/8") centres .4" apart.
control I have no idea, altho the only cnc mill we have functional at the moment is a sherline mini, running linux as the control.
the stationary piece I'm going to make by hand.

Did you give Colin at DW a call? You can learn a lot from him and it'd show a lot of respect if you did. I'm in the process as well. How thick is your bolt face? I went with 1/4" in my cad but I'm thinking of changing it around to be more recessed like yours is.

That was the first thing I did. IDK if you saw it or not, but thats where part of my signature came from, the part that read something along the lines of, "Its amazing what you can learn when you just ask the primary source"
I'll have to check the cad's again. A lot of the walls are pretty thin, so mine may snap on me.

like he did on the original? did you find out the real reason to the tube?
btw... im sure i sounded retarded too, i was sooooo nervous.
edit - in the middle of metal class but progress so far: fixed the shaft, as it in the bolt made a paintball sit too far up. now it still does but w/e.

Go back a few years, back to the mq1. the regular valve was in full production (if you wanna say that) and the adaptor sleeve was just making its way out. Colin didn't wanna wait for the adaptor sleeve, so he made his own. That's why the exposed lower tube goes all the way to the valve in the pics

ah.. so basically instead of buying the new valve he just worked with what he had and made his own sleeve.
*edit* - Holy **** I just noticed the thumb pic.. sorry caught me off guard. If I try and pose my thumb like that it goes out of socket
Bingo.

lucky. I didn't know about that till after I bought the valve... but to me thats just more work.
updating first post now with new pics.

I'll probably end up making a valve body a part of the bottom tube so the delrin slides into it. It'll be easier for me because I have a frame already. I've got a e1 that will get a T-board. Still interested in your bolt.

totally forgot to grab dimensions, you'll have to wait till friday as I'm going on a school trip for 3 days tomorrow.
I do remember tho, the dia of the circle that the paintball is sitting in is .609, and its roughly .13 (off the top of my head) deep.
