Not to necro, but I did the reg mods and they work perfectly. I was getting +3/-3 at the chrony last weekend with the mods and my 4B bolt. This thing is ridiculous now.

I have a few questions...
I have a critical pillow bolt just fyi

First question:
Can I do the bolt mod with the critical bolt? And I'm guessing with the pillow bolt I wont need to do the front mod to keep the ball from rolling back

#2:
If I drill the hole for LPR in the set screw and it gets hit with a paintball is it going to mess anything up? Probably a small amount of it getting in but not sure how it will effect the guns preformance

Are there any other triggers to get besides stock? I want something a little more like a timmy trigger

1 use the critical as it is, if not send it to a shop to do the open bolt face I would only reccomend 1 ramp with this bolt
2 no it wont hapen anything all the new regs have this hole, no marker has died
3 critical sells aftermarket triggers or you can fit a timmy trigger on it

So have them take the whole pillow out and mill it like the stock bolt?
No benefit having the bolt the way it is and do the bolt guide mod?

Yes, a bored out RSF bolt face in combination with a properly done anti rollback tip mod on the bolt pin will perform better than the standard RSF bolt face. But from what I hear the RSF face is not half bad by itself.

Yo could also add a pin instead of the cone but you will have to aling it perfectly

Leave the Critical bolt alone. They work great as is.

I was gonna say, rather than milling out the face of the rsf, just pick up a stock or GM bolt and extra bolt pin if you want to do the anti rollback mod.

the rfs need to take half of its venturi, simply too much , they work a lot better as a mesh in spools

A mesh? Not sure if I understand. Do you mean you would place a piece of mesh in an open faced bolt to use as a venturi? That could be interesting.

Drill the bolt from the back just to use only what it needs to hold the pillow

Ah, good idea. I imagine you'd then be able to put some sort of airflow guide on the front of the bolt pin. Even though it would be shorter than the modded tip you've shown us I think it should have some positive effect on airflow.

Ill buy another bolt sometime along the way n try it. It shoots great as it is, im just in the mood for some gun tweaking. Ive done just about all I can to my species time to learn some spooly stuff
