Buying a PM8!

Hello I'm about to buy a PM8 off of a member on PBNation, this is my first time buying off of this website. I didn't know where to put this so I put it here, what should I be asking the seller, he has a 38/0/0 Rep, so I'm assuming he is legit. But still a littler nervous buying non local, because he can't give me a vid of him shooting because he has no air, but he claims he has a receipt that he will take a picture of and send it to me later that DYE has claimed this gun is in working condition because he had to get the Eye Cover Fixed.

So what should I be asking, his full name, number, address? Maybe a picture of his ID? lol. Any tips would be appreciated.

Also, are PM8's good guns? I've usually just used my old Bob Long Marq7 Rapper before I sold it, my friend claims they are just as good as DM's.

Yes, full name, address, number.

Dont worry about the eye cover being fixed. I have owned 2 and they both had the same issue. its common, but not an issue.

The pm8 is arguably Dye's best gun. Its the most comfortable IMHO. Just keep extra eyepipes on hand and dont screw the barrel on super tight and all shall be good.

I think it's the most comfortable. I'm pretty sure it's the lightest to date and it's a workhorse. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

How are you paying? Paypal? Money order?

i've bought a few of my markers through forums (including a pm8 a few weeks ago) and ebay. so far i haven't had MAJOR problems. my advice is: take as much precautions as you can (even if its annoying)

i asked questions to the details; how long has he owned it, first owner or second, any scratches/problems, how many case through it, if he has a video of it shooting... i usually spend the whole week communicate back and forth for details and such. i believe then, everything should be on the table and documented in case things don't showed up as discussed.

paypal is my preferred method. and when sending the payment, i make a summary of the details discussed as a note with the payment that way paypal has a record of that as well.

the pm8 i bought a few weeks ago showed up with a dead stock board... i contact the seller calmly and rationally and we work out a deal. in the end he reimbursed 35$ so i can get a new board (i upgraded for a tadao lol).

personally, i'd buy online again with no hesitations, just as long as i make sure that the deal goes according to how i want (obviously reasonable) if not i walk away. hope it helps ^_^

ps: if not you can always use pbnation's third party trade thingymajig
