I recently got a virtue board and a tech t L7 bolt for my ion as well as a 360 qev. Shot the gun and it wasn't very accurate and had slight drop off when firing. I didn't have alot of air so that might be the problem but was wondering what setting on the virtue to set the dwell to / how to get the gun into programming mode. I hold the trigger down and then the power button but nothing happens.

On the bottom of the board I found a little box that has two really small dip switches in it but it ha a plastic yellow cover thing on it. Should I peel that off and what do they do?

Do I just turn it to 12 and adjust the reg so it chronos 280?

First adjust the regulator to get the desired fps then adjust the dwell. I believe there is a sticky which tells you how to determine the proper dwell setting for your ion.
