I know we get these types of threads in the Ion forum alot but they seem to always be posted by a newb and are really annoying, so i'll make this as easy as possible.

I was going to upgrade my Ion with the money i've had for a while now until i realzed i could buy a mini for the same cost of my upgrades (i have sick hookups and can get a new one for $300) But i have never shot one before so i was wondering about how the stock board holds up against the an Ion w/ QEV. (Speedwise) Also in the FAQ it didn't say anything about a cap so correct me if im wrong. Another question i have is about the grips. They seem like standard 45 grips but look a little different. I was wondering for future reference in case i wanna put my hybrids on there.
Also if anyone could play the sales man and give me some reasons to buy this over up'ing my ion that would be great. (it helps me sleep at night)

EDIT: Also how many shots does it get from a 48/3k or a68/3k tank? (Efficiency)

The Mini is a whole different world compared to your Ion. But the again, shoot some guns and figure out what you like best.

But seriously, the Mini is awesome.

Haha... never been to the grand canyon. But i heard it AWESOME. lol but any word on the grips? i just looked at some pics and they look like the screw style is a little different than 45s but the stock ones still look comfy.

i wanna say the grips do not work im saying that beacuse all the pics i have seen are stock or coustom i thing the trigger frame messes it up but you could always make grips like i did or buy them from someone.

no offense to u because i had an ion but most ions owners think they are the **** and the there ion is better than a sl74 thats why u get the crap answers

and thats why every one hates them... part of the reason i want a different gun. Not that i didn't like the ion, its that i was stuck in the crowd with people making fun of it left and right at the field. And also i knew there were much better guns around, so the Mini looked perfect.

stock board = 20bps max

cannot use standard 45 grips

Mini > ion. end of story lighter, tighter, better looking, etc.

48/3k tank = 400-550 shots
68/3k = 750-900++

(depends on gun)

thanks.. and the efficiency sounds about normal. thats a plus. Capping boards is bad ... o well New boards will prob be out soon enough. And i already ordered it. Should be here Tuesday/Wednesday. (Red Mini, Waiting on a Freak back for my kit.)

APE already has a board out for the mini i think 40bps cap..

tadao, virtue, and hater are coming out with boards sometime as well.
