between my dad and I, we have a few Sb600's and a Sb700, but the yongnuo triggers are great. $28 dollars for a set of two, and haven't had a misfire yet. Tested them up to about 50 yards, and then got tired of yelling "Did it flash??"

I'll spend the money on the things that matter and I'll put to use, but I don't use off camera flash enough to fork out the money for pocket wizards when these will suffice

Just out of curiosity, do you ever do any automotive light painting Zach? I dig your work

$28? Damn, mine were about 80 a pop..I hated my cactus triggers though, if I had my head up to the camera they wouldn't trigger, I had to move my eye away from the viewfinder for the signal to transmit..my cybersyncs right now are amazing though, paid $150 for 2 receivers and a transmitter.

I think I paid $60 for my Interfit Strobies. Haven't misfired yet. I'll spend the money on pocketwizards when I can't accept the risk of failure.

Playing with new Sigma 50 f/1.4. My wife is the most uncooperative model ever lol.

Rebel, did you have the Canon 50mm f/1.8 before? And how does IQ compare? On charts the Canon performs way above the Sigma/Canon 1.4s, and close to the 50L, but having never played with one I'm asking if the difference is really notable. I've been pondering getting a f/1.4 for a while now, mostly just for AF speed and build quality, but don't want to sacrifice the tack-sharp IQ to a noticeable extent. And have you had any AF accuracy problems? Sigma is notorious for that.

Also, you should check out the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. It stays on my 60D 75% of the time, it's a fantastic lense.

Anyone have some C&C for my photos a few posts back?

Not a huge fan, but love the 3rd! Its nothing on a technical aspect, just not big on abstracts...

And that wall looks like a great place for any skate portraits James

Did some wandering on my way home from the store today. From the tee at the golf course down the street from my house:

I agree.

Did some star trails the other evening. Nothing more peaceful then sitting on a dock alone late at night, especially with great weather!

Figured that would work better for display. I revised my entire 500px gallery with that and got more likes and higher pulses than ever before. I keep my old one strictly for advertising use.

It's a lot more pure than Flickr, which has its uses, but is somewhat lacking. Don't fret though, it's tough to compete on 5∞px with the >9000 Russian photographers with dozens of images of barely clad to completely naked sizzling young women.

I shoot Nikon

I went with the Sigma over the Nikon 1.4 because I read in many places the AF was much faster, had better bokeh, and I always heard the Canon guys rant and rave about how great the Sigma is. I've only shot it wide open so far and the sharpness is nothing to write home about IMO, but I'm shooting wide open, I don't expect much.

I'm definitely sold on Sigma after buying their 17-50 f/2.8 OS. That lens is unbelievably sharp.

this.

It annoys the hell out of me that a skimpily dressed/naked woman will get more views and likes, regardless of how ****ty the quality is

If you look through the upcoming or fresh, you'll notice that many don't fall under artistic nudes at all, some are borderline porn

I recently discovered how much actual porn is on flickr. The things I have seen, cannot be unseen.
