Sanchez Machine SM-1 Sniper Questions
Ok so I'm thinking of getting the new SM-1 Sniper and I was just wondering if anyone has used this marker before and what they think about it. I like the way it looks with the exception of the pump handle, but other than that looks like a quality marker. I have the Orbium 3 barrel setup which I love and looks like great quality craftsmanship. Any info is appreciated.

I just bought one, and so far its a SOLID marker! The pump kits great too. It may look ugly, but i find it very comfortable. It's very easy to adjust velocity and what not because of the hand turn ivg.
Other than that, i dont know what else you're looking for. You left it pretty vague haha
If you have any specific questions just Lmk.

The SM-1 is super nice, I have held one and it feels solid. I personally have never shot it, so I cant tell you about how it shoots.
I had one of their barrel kits where you used the wrench thing to tighten the backs and it rocked. I trust their products!

SM1= my personal favorite open class pump. I like it more than my friends old s6. But then again, after you get some basic things on a pump, everything after that are just luxuries. But it is a very nice gun

I like it. I have one of the older ones but, I've tested the new and improved ones with the midblock and it shoots better and more air efficient. They still have the cool anno on the green camo. Just get the body and put your own reg, grip and barrel on it. Sanchez does make really great barrel kits though.

Yeah I really did, well what I wanted to know was how did the gun feel lets say compared to a CCM S6 in your hands? How smooth is the pump stroke compared to the CCM pump kits? The reason why I compare it to this is because I have had 3 ccm pump kits and they feel so smooth once you tune the gun right.

Luis is a very good machinist He has produced parts for all of the big companies that you see and dont see today. Always stands by his work. Good value. Im glad I purchased my marker from him.

Sm-1 is a great marker to build up. You however need to know how they work. Luckily you have experienced tinkerers to help you.

What a BS post
I've broken 3 Sanchez pump kits by tightening the hex screws that hold the pump handle on the pump rods. The metal is too thin and weak. that said, I still have two markers with Sanchez kits on them as I like the way they look, their balance, and price of course.

Which part is bs? Great marker, experience to build up or the tinkerers?

They are amazing. Had 1 for a couple months and love it way more than I did my s6 or my ccmed autococker. But you need to upgrade to the steel rods. But its a deff good buy

Compared to my old CCM'd sniper, it seems pretty even in performance. I like the spring in the Sanchez kits, but the CCM kit just seemed smoother. but the CCM kit was broken in and setup perfect. Although, my thoughts on it arent to valid because i have only used the SM1 once. I have high expectations judging from what ive experienced so far.

they are great markers. I have shot one since they first came out and have nothing but good things to say about the SM1 and the company behind them. If you face any issues call them, you will most likely speak to the owner and always goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. My team shot these markers last year and had hardly any problems (no more than you would get with any other sniper). I have not shot one of the new mid blocks but I am sure that Luis put enough R&D into it before putting it onto the market.

Yeah I can attest to how great these are for the price. For open class I would definitely go for it. Concerning the pump handle, the blocky looking one is the aluminum version, while it has a smooth stroke and solid feel, you could opt to purchase the delrin handle instead. It has a more "traditional" shape as in rounded, plus I prefer delrin to aluminum pump handles mainly due to gunk + aluminum = anno scratching.

I believe all parts are.... and could be used to describe many, many markers. No worries.

Seriously. Don't worry about maintenance on the marker or having to "tinker" with it. That's BS. I got the marker without reg, asa, or barrel. I got an Empire Barrel Kit, Empire Reg, and an ANS On/off. Plugged all the parts on, set my velocity to ~275 and haven't had to mess with it. I just put some oil in the ASA before I play, and it works great.
I love the pump handle feel, but CCM ones feel great too. The guns is really smooth though, and I love it.

they are a good marker, I'm not a huge fan of the milling, so I don't own one. But I've shot them and they feel solid. The pump stroke on the ones I used was not as smooth as an S6, but then nothing is. Not even a CCM kit on any cocker is ever as smooth as an S6 (or other CCM built pumps).
To compare to something you've owned, it's pretty close to a CCM kit slapped on a cocker. I prefer how the CCM handle feels over the SM-1 (round or square, I've used both). Also I much prefer CCMs trigger frames. Both the 86 and the 45 feel better to me.
