I don't care if used, but I will only buy used on ebay...so whats the best choice? I looked at the 2011 rail, extcy, and a couple other ones in that range. If I could get some help itd be much appreciated

etek 3, etha, mini, maybe an axe(might be hard to find for under 300 but there out there), vice/protege
all of them preform very similar, its really just what one you think looks/feels the best
keep in mind I hate spool valves

If you can find an axe for under 300 then that would be the way to go IMO, but I doubt you will because I've been keeping an eye out for one of these and usually 300 is about where they start the bid @ for used on ebay.
That being said, I think you should go for a used Etek 3 (you should be able to find one of these). I love the etek line for a mid-range marker. They are efficient, have great cs, parts are easy to find, simple maintenance and they are practically bullet proof.

You have such a wider selection of used guns on PBnation than ebay.

I have a GoG eXTCy which is 250 new and you can find one used for even cheaper. I got mine with a techt bolt and the 360 QEV for 175. its a great gun that is easy to maintain and keeps up with the high end markers very well.

Mokal Aura/Valken Proton new.
Used, there's too many good ones that can be had, it all depends on how old you're willing to get. PM7, pm8, or Quest would be my short list used.
Obviously, I'm biased towards spool valves.

I think the Valken Proton comes with more though than the Mokal Aura.
I might be wrong though...
Like tlmiller said though in a $300 price range you can get sooo much used. I just bought a lnib macdev drone for 300

I would look for a used Drone. It will be one of the best guns you will ever own.

I've seen empire axes go for 250-275 used... I'd go back to one if i didn't fall in love with my Geo.

I know this is a little old but the PM5/6/7 are in my opinion, the best buys going. You can get them for $125-$200 depending on options. Really, other than a board/chip upgrade there isn't much to upgrade that makes a difference in play. I haven't seen a better marker at that price.
If you want a poppit marker, some of the older intimidators are a heck of a buy. $150-$200 will get you a 2k2 and potentially 2k5'd model. Many have aftermarket boards. Again, outside of a board, ASA, feedneck, there really isn't anything that needed to be done to these markers.
You may give a little up in the newest mode/settings/oled as well as have a slightly larger/heavier marker but the used market holds a ton of very capable markers all under $200. Spend the rest on a basic oring kit and paint.

I've seen plenty of axes go for $250-$275. I'd go for that. And buy on here, not Ebay.

I would go with the eXTCy. They're really amazing marker's and definitely the best bang for your buck marker on the market right now. They work great out of the box, and they work even better once you upgrade them (Firebolt and QEV primarily are the only parts that need upgraded). The Blackheart board has all the modes and settings you need. The case is really nice. Maintenance is a breeze and it has less orings than other spool valve marker's in it's price range. The efficiency on the eXTCy is great too. I can shoot a hopper and 5 pods and only use 2000 psi with my Ninja 68/45 tank (that's with a Firebolt and QEV installed).

SP1/G1/Vibe/Extacy are all great, solid performers in that price range. With the addition of the Black heart board, they will do very well, and still have money left over for a barrel kit, and loader. They are all easy to maintain, and BOB capabilities make them even easier.
