Don't change the name. Bob Long is one of the oldest names in paintball and it should be respected enough to maintain, even if your parent company is named differently.

Also he should do runs for older intimidator parts so we can keep the older markers up and running.

So wrong. On so many levels.
Speak for yourself bro.

Eric running the show is great news. The past couple orders i've put in with him have showed up in a matter of days, rather then months.

No body other than CCI is going to maintain or keep active old products and he wont forever. It would completely fly in the face of the planned obsolescence and conspicuous consumption we got going here in pb land.

Fields out here seem to be 50/50 Spool-Poppet
Let alone rec/woods ball is just about 99% Stacked tube Poppet

Seeing that it seems no one from Dynasty has even mentioned the CSR could mean something, seeing that they (Greenspan) usually are one of the first to do hands on videos

Do you plan on address the existing customer service concerns? Often times, dealers are told one thing and then that thing never happens. Orders are rarely shipped on time and if you need small parts, they typically don't ship them out unless you ask over and over and over. There is no reason order tracking system in place for BLAST and there hasn't been one since they parted ways with NPS.

There is a DIRE NEED for those of us still sporting older Intimidators, such as cup seals, solenoids, ram sleeves, front blocks. Does BLAST in its new capacities plan on doing short runs on these parts to continue to support those who love the older platforms?

Please keep the name. Its become kind of an icon... "IN BOB WE TRUST"

also - shout out to Heather for beating cancer. Glad to hear shes on the mend after talking with her over Facebook.

Glad got paid and is focusing on his family at the moment. Hoping Heather gets better. #cancersucks

As for the company, im hoping they keep the name... Field one?? no one would take it serious. Im not. Bob Long name in anything has always been positive strong and intimidating..

Id love to see more timmies return. a G7r maybe?

Dynasty would only go to where theyd be able to gain. I dont see that happening with Bob or Eric.

As for Infamous, theyll be with Dye. With a pl m2 as well as Boom.

Agreed - Bob Long is a name I came into paintball seeing and knowing, as well as being something of a easy to find search term online for info.

For what its worth, I'm glad Bob's being given time to do what he does best - make stuff, try to break it, make it better and so forth. He seems to be a tinkery kind of dude so giving the business and marketing segment to someone seems like a great move.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
