i need a high def monitor

so today i just got a brand new sony vaio desktop.

2 gig ram
300 gig rom
256 mgb invidia 7600
Blu-ray drive

all wireless pehriferals (sp?)

i can even watch tv through it.

but the one problem is that i dont have a monitor that will work with it. it says i need a 1080p. so whats the best to get? im lookin at 22 inchers

you can use any monitor you want. theres no need to spend money when u dont need to.

pretty much anything over 24 inches is higher than 1080p

If you're rich enough to buy that **** then get a Dell 2407WFP-HC. 24" and 1080P.

ive tried every cable in the house to find one to get my monitor to plug in. it has these weird dual male serial ports, which if i recall correctly are the same as the hd connectors for an x-box 360.

your motherboard should just have a VGA output.

i just read the thing ad it says i have a dvi-d and a dvi-i ports. it also says i can run 760p

You bought a ****ing Sony desktop with a Blu Ray player. It's a sin to not buy a 1080P monitor. No 22" does real 1080P. Buy the Dell 2407WFP-HC and nothing else.

To watch Blu-rays you need to have a monitor with HDCP. I'm in a similar situation, and I'm probably going to go with a 22" Hanns G.
