As if that's a valid excuse. I didn't expect godfather level writing, but the script had enough problems and the lazy way Nolan tied up the loose ends detracted greatly from the entertainment value, IMHO.

For comparison, avengers was significantly more entertaining to me, even though the fact that the last fight scene wasn't particularly dramatic took away from it a bit.

Tdkr got too much up its own *** about how good of a movie it was supposed to be, but at the end of the day it was just another meh-level summer blockbuster.

Sorry but you are just wrong if you think avengers held a flame to tdkr.

I didn't like how Alfred just left till the end of the movie, definitely think they should have done more. And the whole leap in the pit thing seemed completely retarded to me.

Overall I definitely enjoyed it though. Will probably watch it again, was fairly intoxicated by the end, so I'm sure I missed a few things.

You showed me.

I don't think either was that good, I'm just saying avengers didn't try to be anything but a superhero movie.

Then again, I didn't think TDK was all that good either. The voiceover at the end just completely blew it for me. I remember having a good laugh over super serious gary Goldman.

I really couldn't help but laugh the whole time at the ridiculous voices of both batman and bane.

Thats why its a movie. If movies panned out like real life then they would be boring.

OK lets ignore the movie-stuff(ice and fire). The cops part just makes absolutely no sense, and the bane just going bye bye was lazy writing.

The other two we can chalk up to suspension of disbelief, but those two are just poor writing. Its like in transformers 2. Sure its a movie about giant robots fighting, but when the military radar guy miscounts the robots under the sea, its just bad writing.

I'm the overly analytic movie critic this forum needs.
