New paintball gun from Thin Air Paintball

"ProPaintball insiders report that Thin Air Paintball is developing a new paintball gun. Incase your not familiar, Thin Air Paintball has been responsible for the Quest 4B Bolt Kit and GnB (underbore) Barrel Kit. According to ProPaintball insiders, this gun is targeting the high end market and is slated for release in 2012. The following is a photograph taken by someone associated with Thin Air Paintball of a prototype marker.

According to Thin Air Paintball’s website;

'The rumors are correct – we plan to launch our first marker in the upcoming months. It will be the flagship of our product line, standing out as a heavily-equipped high end tournament marker sure to gain attention far and wide. We will stop at nothing short of a complete revolution of the way electronic markers operate. Our products are US patent pending.'

The information from TAP has caught our attention. Especially the part about revolutionizing the way electro markers operate. What does TAP have up their sleeve? Share your thoughts on the new paintball gun."

I know its a prototype, but I love the color. I hope they keep it as one of the standard colors.

Read this on pbn yesterday so unless there's another thread it must have been deleted.

Not sure how I feel about the grips, or the giant on/off switch.

From the link:

"My name is Andy (Ydna) and I designed this marker. We did not expect that the pictures would be released this quickly so I have to mention that nothing seen here is “finalized”. These markers were actually made in July 2010 as a testing platform for the new ideas, so literally *everything* seen in the picture has been changed. If you have questions visit the TAS facebook!"

This is a prototype from 2010. From what the Podesta and Bronc said, it looks not much like this at all.

I just want to say one thing about the marker and what it needs: A big *** hole in the trigger guard. I HATE taking apart guns without them. It's such a small thing but it wastes so much time and energy not having it.

There appears to be some bitterness between PbN and Thin Air Sports, which might explain why the thread disappeared (and will do so again).

Really? Not that I'm aware of. Ydna is even a moderator here! I think the worst you can say is they had some issues with spamming the FEP forum years ago. We never appreciate that, so hopefully they are over it. But I think that might have been even before Andy got involved.

The other thread is still here too btw: https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3723466

Again, not that I know of. I just talked to Chris Cole at Cup and I talked to Jon-Paul regularly on the phone too. You have to realize, I've known many of these people a decade or longer.

No, those are the guys I associate with FEP now that Dave has fallen off the map.
