to all of you who claim that all new guns have bounce and you can't do anything aboutit...All you have to do is tighten the trigger...either a stronger spring or adjust the magnets...DUH, if it still "bounces" buy a non-electro

Im glad the NPPL is being strict. All they're trying to do is trying to get rid of cheating so paintball will be recognized as a legitimate sport by the public when it finally hits big. Some people think that the players should receive a warning, let's associate the cheater guns with school. If you have a substitute and you're goofing off like usual and she keeps doing the whole "if you do that one more time I'm writing you up" routine over and over, you're gonna keep doing it cuz you know you wont get in trouble. Now let's say you goof off and she writes you up right then, you may not think it's fair but you know damn well next time you have that sub you're not going to goof off.

I think they are being a little harsh. One member on my team we worked on his timmy for so long trying to get the bounce out. I still live by bounce is for homos. Some markers its hard to get out (bounce) and u just gotta pray that you pass.

My gun got pulled twice today.. the robot almost made me miss a game. Funny thing was.. when the ref yanked the gun outta my hand it was in dry fire mode cuz I chopped.. so it wont shoot over 15.. which isnt fast. He still thought it was waaay to fast to be normal.. Took it to the bot, passed, turned my db over 20.. almost shoots faster. Got pulled again our next time on NPPL field to. Funny thing tho.. NO ONE at all could make it bounce. I had refs fiddle with the thing like crazy, and never get an added shot. Gun is 2 days old.. only been used at this event. GJ Bob! Your Frenzy Boards PWN.
Another thing.. if refs are going to enforce rules, all the fields should do it.. IMO JT field and NPPL had the worst and most annoying refs, NPPL one not so much cuz I know em, but the JT ugh.. That was the only field with the random chrono deal.. which I saw multiple people get pulled for shooting 2 over 300.. and they get one shot. Those handheld chronos kinda suck sometimes to..they had an issue with stickers to
The Bandana rule was meh.. it was frowned upon at the cpts meeting, but much more so during the tourny. Some calls where just HORRIBLE, infact... 70% where. They also were DAMN slow in checking people... If you wipe, you would have no problem at all at this event.
Tho I do thank the refs for being there all day in the sun/rain and complaing players. Without you guys we couldnt do it.

If you look more agg than the ref at the chrono, you have to sit out a game.

I think you should be able to perhaps test your gun on the robot prior to the event...maybe the day before. Because maybe you can't get it to bounce and you think its perfectly legal but then the robot gets it to bounce. If it does then you should be able to adjust your gun to make sure that it won't bounce when you are shooting it, and when the robot is shooting it.

it is kinda dumb that you cannot adjust your gun to the robots specs.... if a normal person cant get it to bounce i.e you or the ref... i think it should be perfectly fine... hell, rip a stream with my gun... it wont bounce... but when the robot does it, it does.... its man power not robotic power thats gonna be pulling the trigger on the field ya know... this is why i slightly favor psp a bit more... yes they care about alotta bounce but a little isnt bad.... i think its a bit absurd trying to stop an extra 3 or 4 balls coming outta barrel... like its gonna make a diff when you got 15 flying at your head every second....

I didn't think they were being strict about bounce at all. They were letting a couple double shots here and there go at the chrono. Also, my gun "ran away" right in front of a ref, and all he did was give me a funny look.

My random thoughts are as follows...
The NPPL uses professional referees, which are paid to referee, and attempt to catch guns that bounce. Its human nature for a human being to WANT to be good at their job, since that is what promotes advancement and recognition.
As such, the games I watched (and played in), i saw the referees seeking bounce in markers, in ways that would not be advantageous to use in a game. One referee checked for bounce by sitting it on the table, and using BOTH index fingers to slowly pull the trigger. (How many people do you know who will set the marker on the ground during the game and shoot like this, just to get bounce?). Another referee held the gun JUST by grasping the regulator with his left hand, and shot the gun WITHOUT bracing the gun with the tank-to-shoulder. Again, I ask everyone, how many people will actually shoot like this to achieve bounce? Not anyone I know, especially because the guns ARE so easy to shoot fast, legally. Why suffer the loss of stability\accuracy, just for a couple extra BPS, or for less finger exersize?
Ramping boards are cheating. Mechanical bounce, unless horribly obvious (and able to be acheived easily in game-conditions) is not...

Well considering us refs got raped... getting overshot (ramping? bouncing? so the player couldnt stop shooting us??...) The head ref and me got bleeders on our necks. And mine is pussing. (mind you i was wearing a neck protector too.)
We chronod the team afterward they hung the flag. So we chronod them before we called game, and needless to say only one remained since the other 2 were over 300.
We also caught one guy with 370 fps. He said our hand helds were wrong... we checked it the chrono inside. 370. The guy didnt even admit to turning up his reg in the middle of the game (ref saw it, and thats why he took his gun to chorno)
In my opinion he should have been kicked out of the tourny.
I dont get paid enough to get scarred and treated like ****..... so many cheaters it really does make me sick.
To all the players that are "p1ssed" at the refs, trust me, they arent even close enough to how p1ssed some of us refs are.

haha at max masters i was using a mech retro automag cause like all of ours guns went down and it was like our back up back up and i was in the 50 and got crazy bounce almost runaway stuff it was nice for a sec but i was like o **** stop doing that.
I agree w/ vitaman about Its human nature for a human being to WANT to be good at their job so they do it good and look good for it. It all depends on the refs that look for it and what happens and his mood at the time.

its not bounce that get teams DQ'd
its cheating boards and ramping
when the robot pull the trigger 10 times and the marker shoots 15 times, that is not bounce... ok?
the way the nppl look at bouncing is that if the marker has passed their chronoref and then they discover bounce on the field, the player only gets a warning.

i think it had to be a decent amount, we played against LA Exodus and like 3-4 people on their team had bouncing markers, one of em was bad the the ref gave them like 5 times each to get the bounce out of the markers.

Bounce will get you DQ'd as well as ramping. Trust me we know the rules very well now. If the trigger is pulled x amount of balls comes out to be higher then pulls you are gone.
I love how this thread started out that people are getting DQ'd all over the place, when to date I think it was just us (665), Chop Shop and Redz back in Tampa. We have all come clean, believe what you want about knowing or not knowing, but I can tell ya that we had no idea and still take full responsibility for what happened.
