Smoke screen

There was talk of a smoke screen system bein used in this thread.
https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3842705

I tried several options. A party fogger with quality fog solution. Results were poor. I think my tank smokes more by itself.

I tried injecting solution straight into the exhaust. Result was even less than the fogger.

I gave it some more thought. My other hobby is pyro. I belong to a group that get together every month or so and put on firework displays. I own remote systems that will ignite fireworks. What I ended up doing was taking a 4in pvc 45 fitting. Mounting 4 2min smoke grenades at the bottme. I wired them to the wireless cue box and had the wireless remote in the turret. On top of the pvc fitting I had a 12v fan that I could turn on/off from the turret. I am able to fire any combination of the smoke grenades that I want. All of them at once. 1 at a time, 2 at a time etc. I was able to test thy system in action at a game a few weekends ago. I was very pleased with the results. With only using 1 smoke grenade at a time it produced a thick cloud of smoke. I was able to lay down smoke in front of the other teams base allowing for my team to advance. I was also stationary at times and the fan did its job in making sure to blow the smoke away from the tank and not back up into the turret. When I get a chance to will post pictures.

If you scroll down on our facebook page you will see were i was testing a smoke generator. I will be installing the copper tubbing inside the muffler. In order for the liquid to get hot enough to smoke but no flash off which most likely what was happing to you. the exhaust manifold gets to hot if the soliution flashes off you het very little smoke. you have to use tubbing that gets very hot but also doent allow the exaust pressure toblow the solution out before it has time to produce smoke. Also take into account it was very windy that day blowing between 15 and 20 mph

Joe looks good! Keep me posted with how the install works out for you. Where did you get the smoke generator from?

The smoke generator is the engine in my tank. The smoke solution I use is called Frogys smoke. Here is the web site I use this solution so when I'm putting out a smoke screen i dont hurt anyone who might have asthma or any other alergies.

Froggys fog bog is what I tried using but I didn't have near the same results. Must be due to the lack of copper tubing.

I used the formula O fire and rescue but the aircraft formula will work great to but it is oil based. But i use the water based one. Really any one one this page will work for what you are wanting to do.

A friend of mine made a breach load with a 3-4 inch PVC pipe sticking out the back of the tank. Then used an exhaust fan mounted in the pipe to push out the smoke thru the pipe. Just throw any smoke grenade in it and the smoke roles out the back. Just be careful the fan is blowing the right way. He found out the hard way.

My buddy used something similar. He installed a fan insdie an old ammo box that vented out the back. Drop in a sportsmoke and turn on the fan...

Here are some photos and a video. The video was still in the testing stages. The flaps on the bottem of the tank was catching a lot of the smoke. I have since adjusted those flaps.

Ok if you go to my teams Facebook page and scroll down there are a couple videos posted showing me testing the froggies smoke in the exhaust pipe. You have to take into account that the wind was blowing about 15 to 20 mph that day this stuff really has good hang time in low wind conditions
