These cars around here, run around 18-20 K new. He didnt specify what might be aftermarket on the car. It could have some serious $$$ put into it, and we wouldnt know. like he said in post # 3 or 4, haters gunna hate.

ok then lets ask, do you have an evo? if i wanted an older car with 80k+ miles i would have gotten an evo but i dont want the problems.

Not a bad car, but awful deal. Given your previous business experience with working on PbN I am not at all surprised.

exactly you looking at a DE, those retail at 14,500 range. i just said GTS. so make an equal comparison and then you may have a halfway valid point.

Also looks like a GPS/sattelite radio or Onstar antenna. some upgraded electronics?

Not what I'd do with 16,000, but a nice car none-the-less
I think it'd look better with lancer wheels though

You are bragging about paying the same price for an OLDER GTS than you would for a NEW Lancer, but than your knocking the concept of buying an older Evo.
Hypocritical.
Enjoy your car, you paid too much.

You sound mad, bro. Comparing an older GTS to a new DE doesn't make any sense, you compare the same trim level. Also, not everyone wants to buy an older Evo with way more mileage that has probably been beat on its whole life and will cost more to maintain, run, and insure.
Edit: also didn't see any bragging by the OP, he just said how much he paid for it.

Im not knocking to concept, I was gonna get an Evo but can't afford to insurance and not to mention a nice 08 is running over 20. If I wanted an 03 04 I woulda got one. So regardless I didn't buy it to street race, I bought it for my everyday driver.

The stock lancer doesn't make him look like a douche, the action of buying a used stock lancer for over the cost of a new one and then posting about it does. I sure wish I had the ability to set my money on fire.

You are right. College fees are preventing me from buying a new car. I feel I could have spent that 16k more wisely and I'm mad it wasn't mine.
