Yea but that was a single player game with missions specifically tuned so that the urbie could be useful. In a multiplayer game like this and the maps being what they are, there really isn't any way they can make it a viable mech and still stick to the source material. They would basically have to make a completely new mech and just call it an Urbanmech.

I don't think anyone would willingly choose to put themselves in such a deathtrap. If they used urbanmechs they would have to put in modded agromechs for the urbies to have a chance lol. That actually wouldn't be a bad idea, urbans vs agros mode.

edit- looking at the spec sheets wolfhounds are much better than i remember them.

Just found this little gem. Fully functional Mechlab for experimenting with builds, and detailed mech stats inncluding torso/arm twist range.

that is pretty cool. used it to fit out my hunchy 5sp going 81km/h while still having a full weapons loadout and almost max armor. i actually found that particular loadout on hte forums....its really mean. basically its just buying endo steel and dual heat sinks and then you can drop a std 250 engine in.

New patch is out, new spider is extra squishy. One has ECM, the rest of the variants don't have anything better to offer.

Edit: Holy ****, with speed tweak it can go 151+kph. Talk about lag shielding.

This is the layout I'm toying with, lag shielded light striker. Not sure what to do with that extra half ton, which is why there is a small laser on there... Might drop an engine size and swap it up for another mpl. Would look like this. Bad heat efficiency, but chaining and then a lot of running would offset it...

The spiders look cool when jumping around, but I can't think of a potential load out that would be fun to play. I've been trying to rework some of my chassis to be speedier. I also sold all of my lights and assaults to focus purely on my medium and heavies.
