Polished guns

I am wondering if anyone has seen a truely poshished gun. Not one that is ano'ed shiny or clear PCed but one truely striped down an mirrored polished. I've been thinking of doing this with an old cocker but I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble.

ohhhhhhhhhhh sin has made one like that. fatty_acpp owns it still (I think) tis very nice, I do believe the pic is in the pic thread over in the matrix forum.

I looked at all his post in the pic thead and none of them was of a polished gun. If it was someone else could you let me know and what page it is on. 5 pages is alot to search though if you know where it is. Also I would like to stress that I am looking for one that is bare metal, no coatings. I don't think SIN just polishes, I think they PC ontop of.

Well, you can polish it, but it will eventually dull up a little when it oxides. You'd want to coat it with something to keep that from happening and to protect form staching. What about chrome plating? Strong, durable and shiny.

That is what I use to think, then I was surfing another fourm and started to read posts that made me wonder if that was really totally true. Basiclly once you get it shined it only takes a little work to keep it that way. On top of which if you get a scratch it can be repaired very easily by yourself. This is something you can't do with either PC or Anno.

Chrome plating is an idea but I have to admit I am also doing this for another reason. I want to find out if I can handle this small project before I hit something bigger. Something that I can't get chromed or anno'ed or PC'ed very easily.
