Whats so great about the 09 PMR?

I am thinking about getting a PMR and looked around to see what a good used one is going for. One thing I noticed is 09 PMRs seem to be around the price of a new PMR. All the description said they were mostly stock to they didn't have crazy ups to boost the price. What is the so special about the 09 or did I just see some people who want too much money?

Well, do you mean a new Proto Rail? Or Reflex Rail.
The new Proto Rail is pretty much the old SLG. Reflex Rail is what the PMR is now.

 plays in the NXL
Feloniousnick plays in the APPA D4 division
2011 Proto rail is the lower end rail

the reflex rail is the 2011-2012 equivalent of the 2007-2010 pmrs

The 2011 proto rail is the same price range as the SLG (but is completely redesigned and much better and much more reliable)

Before '09, you had to buy the frame seperate.
I did, and it was well worth it.
I have an '07 and have no plans to get rid of it.
It is really reliable.
Only issues that I have have had have been fixed by fresh batteries and to clean and lube the bolt.

I would look for an older PMR with a ton of upgrades, you could pick one up for far less then 200

I had an 08 PMR SE (basically an 08 PMR with the 2pc barrel and some metal parts) and loved it. Now I use a PM8 as my main, which is actually quite similar, albeit sligthly better in every way.

In 09 they started selling PMRs with UL frames "out the box". And with the release of the Reflex they started putting the "old" PMR noid in the Reflex and what looks to be the same noid as in SP-1 and Vibes in the new PMRs. Also I think 09 was when they started to have the new Hyper reg.
