Pneu-mag???

Hello everyone, I have been away from my automag for about 6 or 7 years now. I have recently gotten interested again in my mag because I want to convert it to pump. While doing some research I kept seeing the pneumags and I was wondering if someone could tell me how they are assisting the trigger and possibly a close up picture of the internals of the frame...

thanks

seth

I have a dumb question for you, what sets the pneuframe apart from a rt capable mag?

I don't know much about either which should be aparent from the question so lay off the flames please, I've only owned 1 mag and it was a cnc x-mag back in the day when there was a waiting list a couple of months long

it uses pneumatics in the frame to trip the sear. it makes it a walkable mech.

The only dumb question is the one not asked

A pnue mag can utilize any Mag valve, R/T or Classic, but what sets it apart from the R/T bouncing action, is the trigger itself is actually walkable like an electro. If you click on the link I provided above, it takes you to the pnuemag section of this board as well as other places on the net that share the same technology.

I know there are probably a hundred threads on this matter but I was wondering what trigger frames you can usually do a pneumag conversion on. Also I was wondering if autococker frames have the same bolt paterns as the mag or if another gun has the same bolt patern as the mag

thanks

Most Mag frames are capable of converting to a Pneumag, i've done an intelliframe and a Chimera frame. But seriously, if you don't want to do too much modding then check out the link i posted earlier in this thread. I've ordered one, these things are now being manufactured so will probably fire a bit faster. With a home made conversion your only going to be able to atain 13 bps, maybe 14 tops. I'm still trying to develop mine further but the "off the shelf" parts hold it back a tad. A purpose built frame should hit the magic 16 bps with very little trouble as the parts inside it are designed to do that. I belive Cocker frames also bolt straight onto a Mag as their fixing holes are in the same place. I could be wrong though, but i think they line up with the rail. You'd just need somewhere to bolt on the MSV-2 3 way valve to the frame.

I just want to find a frame with descent room. I am not to worried about a place to bolt the internals down cause I should be able to weld a bracket in there with enough room. Im not really wanting to spend to much money on the frame cause this is more just a project to do a project...

thanks

just curious as to why you say that a home brew you are limited to 13 or 14bps...

The Fabco MSV-2 3 way valve isn't really designed for Paintball, let alone high cycle rates. What it is though, is easy to fit/modify without too many problems. It also provides the lightest/sweetest trigger pull of all the minimatic valves. A purpose designed valve will almost always out perform an off the shelf valve. Untill someone discovers a new valve or part and evolves it, thats going to be it's max Rate of fire. I've put around 20 boxes of paint through mine so far and i've never yet felt outgunned! I'm very pleased with the performance. It's still as fast as most markers less ramping!
