Solving Basic Leaks

I was bored so I made a leak diagram similar to that found in the Dye/Proto threads. Most should know this but I thought it might be helpful to those new to the luxe. Tarzan(Ryan Moorehead) has looked over this and approved of it. The picture of the power core was provided by Ydna.

DLX recommends the use of urethane orings for the Luxe to operate at its peak performance.

The numbers seen on the diagram pointing to each is the oring size and durometer. 15/70 means that the size of the oring is 15 with a durometer of 70.

NOX bolt Information

Lubricating you Luxe marker

I have found that unlike a shocker, the Luxe needs only to be wetted by the lube, whereas the shocker can be dipped in Dow and it will blast out what it doesn't want.
Here are a few pictures on the proper amount of lube to apply to your Luxe marker. Orionz06's complete guide can be found here.

This is how the bolt should look after an application of lube. Very light on the bolt, and heavier on the sail orings.

The amount of lube to apply to the orings.

After smearing the lube. Notice how the orings look slightly wet.

Useful information about FSDO

Replace the rearmost o-ring inside the firing can, if it's green try using a clear one. Also put a decent amount of lube on that o-ring when you put it back together. Before you screw the can back on to the lift cap, put the bolt inside and slam it to the foreward position, you should see excess grease squirt out of the can (kind of like one of those playdough factory things). Sometimes if you get too much grease in there it can act as sort of a cushion and not allow the bolt to fully cycle.

Other useful information

The quick latch begins leaking roughly 30 seconds after airing up the marker.

The eye covers keep popping off when I fire.

My marker 'squeaks' when it fires.

A leak is heard coming from the upper left grip/solenoid area.

Nice. Thanks for the time you took to make and post this. Is it possible to add the composition of the respective o-rings to the diagram? i.e. BN, HNBR, UR

you can also mention another common leak is located and is heard at the upper left grip/solenoid area. This is caused by bad frame/body UR o-ring, allen body plug needs to be reloctited and/or reg creep (15/90 on the top of the regulator)

unscrew it like you're unscrewing a barrel use a towel though, those ridges on the bolt guide can slice your fingers open

I just got my Luxe back from DLX (had them replace bolt, firing can, and FT manifold.

There is no leak when I air up the gun but I notice that after each shot there is a little "whoosh" of air that I hear and feel on my face. I put my hand around the gun and the air is felt coming from between the frame and the body...but it is only after each shot and not a constant leak.

Would this be the small white o-ring between the frame and body? Or is it one of the bolt orings?

That's actually caused by the feathertouch manifold. Everytime you shoot, it will vent the air behind the gun, it's not a leak, just the new mainfold
