First strike compatible
What are some lower priced makers out that are first strike compatible? Not just load one in the breach and shoot, markers that will fire multiple first stike rounds from a magazine or tube.
Thanks

The "cheapest" is the Spyder Hammer 7 pump which retails for about $130. If that's all you want to spend, then I'm sure its a fine choice, but I'd suggesting picking up the T8.1 for another $70 ($199.95). From there they range anywhere between $349.95 for the T9.1 Ranger and $1400 for the DAM.

I honestly don't get it. If you are paying $800 for a 2000 round case of "first strike" paintballs why not dump a bunch of money on a marker?
I'm going to have to see these in action. I would love to compare their "accuracy" against that of a high end luxe or similar gun. Sorry i've been out of the game a bit and am just looking at these now.
As for which markers, I've noticed the new markers from spyder to be the least expensive best bang for your buck.

I hate when I see people talking about comparing "accuracy" based on markers and price points.
Both will shoot the same with the same bore barrel, same paint, with the same FPS. My $200 phantom shoots the same as my $700 luxe and my $500 Rev-i and my $200 G3 when they all use the same barrel.
This is a great pump marker with some awesome coolness factors at an amazing price point. Spyder is doing it right and prove again that you can make awesome products at an awesome price while other companies charge 5x more for a less innovative product.

phillysteve - I disagree, an inexpensive blow back marker has always felt less ball on ball accurate then many of the 200+ paintball guns i've owned. Yes the first shot might hit the target but it's harder to consistently hit the target from that point on. I believe this is the comparison the marketers of the "First Strike" paintballs are using if you look at their accuracy chart.
So what I would like to see is a shot grouping comparison between a high end well tuned marker and the first strike paintballs. I know watching some pros they could consistently hit a pod they would throw in the air from pretty far away with normal paintballs. Anyhow I don't want to thread jack, sorry OP.

I don't think anyone is buying 2000 FS rounds to shoot with this gun. from all my talks to people they are looking at this gun to use it in a Sniper type roll or a gun they sling and have in case. then there is the few that may buy this for the Mag fed only games that keep popping up here and there. It's a pump nobody is picking this up to shoot 2000 of anything.

except for the accuracy first strike rounds also doubles your range.
And yes, both my 98 and A5 shows the same accuracy with my friends phenom when we were shooting with the same barrel as phillysteve said.

Yeah just wanted a cheap platform to give the first strikes an honest try, with out having to breach load them one at the time. I order 200 not 2000. I have some nice highends right now ego11, sl94, and geo2 so I just wanted to give this a try. Wanted something shoulder fired so the T8 was out, gonna mount a red dot for aiming and see what happens.

That does sound fun, especially in the woods. Could you post back up how it goes?

I might be missing the point of the argument here, but it's been proven time and time again that first strike rounds are more accurate and provide longer range at the same PSI output and fps. The hammer IS a blowback, but being a pump that really doesn't matter. A pump that shoots 1st strike rounds is basically every sniper/long range player/pump player's dream. You get insane accuracy, that "pump satisfaction", save (more than electro's) on paint, and you benefit from the skill increase due to playing pump.

Actually it's a nelson. it's bolt system is nothing like a regular spyder. Much more practical due to auto-trigger capabilities.
