How strict on color?
How strict are the refs on having yellow on your gun? I'm gonna be playing the pump division and I want to know if I'd be able to use a rasta themed gun (no im not a hippie, I just like the colors). Would they be ok with the small amount of yellow? Or if i made it more of a gold would that be ok?

I'm pretty sure yellow is allowed in the nppl. orange is the banned color in nppl, while yellow is banned in psp. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

you are incorrect. yellow is the protected color of both leagues and they are VERY strict on this. our team had to turn our jerseys inside out on Friday in huntington beach then color in the yellow of our jerseys for the rest of the tourny. we only had the smallest amount of yellow on our jerseys.

When in doubt, avoid the protected color at all costs, even if it's a little bit. All it does is draw the attention of the refs for no reason.
Depending on how much of it is on the actual gun, you may be asked to use a different gun completely or put tape over the yellow parts.

Having more than one protected color is going overboard. Just pick one and let everyone know well before the next season starts. I understand why the PSP switched (staining and all that) but to just keep adding colors is silly.
Personally I would ban red clothing, not as a protected color, I just get tired of seeing 70% of teams look the same.

Yellow is the only protected color. My buddy wore neon yellow shoes the entire tournament at HB with no issues. It frustrated me that they were so loose, because I kept expecting them to kick him off right before a point one game...and it made me nervous.

Since it is on your gun and covers about 1/3 of the body, you will most likely have to put tape over the yellow part. Gold can be considered on the gray area. If it is a deep gold, like ironman, then you would have to cover it. One of our guys used his gold creed at HB, but it was a lighter gold, more of a sand color, and he didn't have any issues with it.

If u guys were on field three, I seem to remember hearing the check in ref saying if you guys wanted to take the chance on a ref calling you on your shoe, then go ahead....
No issue I'm sure all weekend, but you guys were warned....

If you read the rules it says yellow is prohibited so don't wear yellow. If you do cover it with tape.

Correct. You could technically be in an orange jump suit playing.

mostly they are trying to avoid jersey/pants, guns, and stickers and stuff on your loader being yellow.

My yellow undershirt is so old and stained it looks like mustard. They still had me take it off at HB.
