Axe launches a ball on air up
When I first air up my Axe, itll lob a ball on its own at about 100-200fps. Any ideas what I should be looking for?

My guess is, that the poppet is open at the time you first air up.
Either close the poppet by turning the velocity adjuster fully clockwise, or dont introduce paintballs, prior to charging the gun.

Both viable solutions but things I should not have to do. Any other gun airs up fine. Now I have to worry about it launching a ball because it feels like it. Pretty unacceptable. Think Ill call Kee see what they have to say.

i have this issue as well with my mini.
didn't happen until I bought my relay on/off.
the only way for me to stop it is to air up slowly.

Same here. I Didn't have that issue until after I purchased and installed my Empire Relay on/off.

Just spoke to their tech (Jay). They know about the problem and haven't figured it out. Said to do what virus said. To me, that's just not right. This is something that shouldn't have to be worried about when simply airing up a gun. I haven't seen any of my other 30 guns I've owned do this. Ha also said to check bolt guide O rings.

Yea the on/off Relay seems to be really quirky. I've had the problem of it launching a paintball when I air it up. As well as it not purging the marker anymore like it did when I first received it.
Also, one time I aired it up and the gauge read zero and the marker wouldn't fire but the on/off was holding air. It was odd but I messed around with it and got it working again.

Well it sounds like they are still trying to debug the problem and offered you a work around. I'm sure they'll release a fix for it once they figure it out.
New designs will sometimes have problems, that's just how it is. It's the customer support during these times that determine how a company is.

How far out is your velocity adjuster turned?

To begin with, there should never be paint present in the breech of your marker until you are ready to shoot.
But even still, this shouldn't be happening. Hopefully KEE releases an official statement soon with a solution to the problem.

It's been a known issue with the BT TM series since they came out. Guys using slide-checks have had this trouble for near a couple of years now.

Yah. Sorry but the first thing I do whem I get shot out is degas, turn off marker and put condom on. What? Should iu take a few shots to empty the breech and get tagged for playing on? Sorry, there's gonna be paint in the breech regardless unless - shot out of paint.
As for the back cap, its between 1.75 and 2.25 turns out depending on field velocity.

The lower pressure you run and the farther out the adjuster is the more you will see this issue. There is no reason to degas the marker till you are done playing for the day, just turn the marker off and put the condom on.
Now if you have air and you marker near by, try slowly flipping the lever on the ASA on. The problem seems to arrise more often when you flip it quickly.

You're putting it in the wrong context. When you first gas up the marker for the day, or after taking the tank off of the marker, there should be absolutely no paint in the breech until you're ready to fire. Common sense. This is the only time where the specific problem that you're having should be relevant, as you have no reason to de-gas your marker throughout the day if you're actually playing and not just sitting around.

Yeah don't degas your marker, just turn it and the hopper off. As for the relay, its just one of those frustrating bugs thats gotta be worked out...

Never had issues when I flipped it slowly, but a quick flip send two shots out.

Will try a slow flip. See how that goes. Still prefer the gun not be sitting in the staging area aired up. But thats just me, I guess.

mmmm, mine does it too, I just never noticed it. I put my boss bolt in today and its def more noticeable, most likely from dropping my reg pressure by 30.
