I got 1st class all the way from LAX to JFK felt nice in my lay down seats.

Tell me about it. I wish I could, as flying coach blows pretty hard when you're 6'2'' and 300 pounds. But unless your company pays for it or you get **** loads of reward points it doesn't seem very feasible. Its like $150 for coach or like $1000 for first class. For $850 I'll suffer for an hour.

It depends entirely on how long the flight is. It sucks big dick to take a 6 hour flight to sit next to someone like pete who is legit taking up 50% of the seat that I paid for. I just know a lot of people who get frequent flyer miles and buy their upgrades for 200-300 bucks.

coach in european flights is 10 times more crammed than in the USA.

When I was woken up mid way from madrid to tel aviv I had no idea how I was able to fit in the seat and don't remember getting on the plane.

ya, most of the times i'm flying first class are for short flights where the difference in seating/legroom is pretty minimal (especially because whenever i have flown coach

Coach is also dependent on your what model airplane you have. Some planes have decent leg room in coach, others suck even for someone who is only 5'9".

It isn't worth it unless you're going to be there for a really long time. Short flights aren't worth it at all. However, I'm literally half your size so you would probably appreciate it more even on shorter flights.
