I had it at the Living Legends game and it got a lot of attention. When I was off the field at the van quite a few people came by to see it and I let me hold it and check it out. I think I did about 4 video interviews about it as well.

I was happy that other people liked the end result as much as I did.

So what's the feedtube made from?
Is it PVC pipe or was it a useful carryover from the airsoft shell?

The feedtube is a type of PVC pipe. It was originally a piece that makes up the framework for one of those mesh laundry bag holders. It's thinner walled and lighter than normal PVC from the hardware store but the inner dimensions were perfect to fit the paintballs and ball pusher. It also fit nice and tight into the PVC feedneck I made for it without sanding or anything.

It was something like this:

Ha! Yeah my wife hates it when I save old stuff. She always complains I save too much junk. I just never know when I'm going to need it for some project or something and in this instance that tube was absolutely perfect. Lightweight, the ballpusher fit inside just right, fit perfectly into the feedneck, and was easy to machine the holes.

(I also made an extra hockey net out of the rest of the framework tubes and the mesh fabric for my kids)
