Does Gparted still recognize a NTFS partition on your HDD? Did you defrag the Windows 7 partition before shrinking it (if you did shrink it, anyway)? There's a possibility you overwrote the NTFS partition, or accidentally corrupted something by shrinking the partition without deframenting the Windows partition beforehand.

Thanks to boomslang I drank the z-shell kool-aid. Completion is sick, globbing is sick (**/*, **** yeah). On most machines I've changed my login shell and others at least have a good .zshrc in place if I haven't switched already. I'm glad I finally gave it an honest try (copying an existing .zshrc is key).

Just looked it up on Wikipedia. The spelling correction caught my eye, haha. I wouldn't think it'd be worth for me to switch from bash, though.

{walmart,target,costco,kmart}.nmu.edu (Get it? "big box" stores, yuk yuk)

Or, sticking with a Sun theme, use various "solar deities" names from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_deity

Or use equatorial island names, or pacific game fish names.

EDIT: Did I miss the point of "name" these servers?

No, clearly I did

Re: the intended topic..

in a StackOverflow discussion:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2...r-names-closed

the accepted answer links to a naming scheme that had me in tears as I thought about it more and more:

http://www.well.com/~cynsa/newbutt.html

Therefore I'll throw these out there:

-salami
-pigstail
-candle
-balloon
-cueball

I've definitely been considering doing that. Guess I should take the plunge.

Atheros cards are pretty much all supported. There are like three different drivers to choose from.

And I just watched mplayer compile (because I don't want the GUI and some other crap) and felt myself getting older.
