You'll most likely have to get the aztec bitters at a big liquor store or online. I've never seen it in a grocery store.

dude malt rapes hops. I can't STAND IPAs everytime I read reviews on a good one I go buy it in hopes that it will change my mind but they always blow ***. They are to bitter and sometimes taste floral to me (like the 90 minute IPA). Plus for some odd *** reason if I go out to eat and get a beer with a meal and I get an IPA, I will puke.

Not the same with stouts, dark ales, red ales, pilsners, etc. Just ****ing pale ales

Edit: I love stouts

To each their own.

I don't really have too big of a preference with beer, as long as its not PBR or Keystone (on get ****ty party nights, you'll find ****ty beer). IPAs are my favorite by far, but I don't mind a nice change up from time to time. I usually get a build your own sixer and get about 4 IPAs and 2 whatever else catches my eye.

I haven't tried too many IPAs but one that jumped out to me was Firestone Union Jack IPA. Its just a bit on the stronger side but in my opinion it has a well balanced taste. Firestone makes a good quality beer (at least what I have tried so far) so its been my go to when I want to treat myself.

Not saying go out and buy this beer now and it will change your whole opinion of IPAs. Just if you ever have the chance or are looking for something new its a beer to consider.

(I know this wasn't directed at me, but) I'll have to look for this tomorrow while I'm at the store. Never tried Firestone, or at least to my knowledge.

At my old place I moved out of two days ago my roommate and I had our living room and dining room window sills full of nice bottled beer (no repeats) and Firestone doesn't ring a bell to me. Thank you good sir.

I just hope its not a local beer brewer. I know I have a few around here that solicit specifically to KS/MO that I had on that window sill.

I first tried the Firestone Walkers Reserve Porter and absolutely loved it. I don't think you will have a problem finding Firestone in general. I first found out about the company when I was living in Maine and recently moved to Colorado and I have seen some kind of Firestone at most liquor stores.

However I haven't been able to find Walkers Reserve Porter since and it really upsets me. I bought the Union Jack IPA at a large liquor store aka heaven. They make a selection of different types of beer so I am sure you will find some kind you like. As long as you have a local store with a decent selection I don't believe you will have a problem.

Enjoy man

So about $80-$90.

Dont skimp on any of the ingredients r substitute ive tried it many different ways and this is by far the best.

Also one drink will get you buzzing nice. Two and youll be intoxicated. It hits you hard.

Unless you like spicy go REALLY light on the cayanne. A little goes a LOOONNNG way.

Also make sure you make it properly.

*In a mixing glass (no ice yet)*
-Small small pinch of cayanne
-A couple dashes of aztec bitters
-1.5 oz of zaya
-1.5 oz wild turkey
-1 oz benedictine

-Fill glass with ice
-STIR do not shake for 25 seconds
-Strain into a martini glass (if you dont have a martini glass get one)

-Peel an orange slice over the glass
-Quickly caramelize the orange slice with a lighter (both sides)
-Hold the lighter in one hand and orange slice in the other. Close to the glass squeeze quickly the outside of the orange slice into the flame and direct into the glass.
-Drop the orange slice in and you are good to go.

I suggest using a jigger for this drink. Ive been bartending for years and can free pour pretty much perfectly but this drink really is better when everything is perfect.

Ill make a video of it later.
When the video is posted I will invest the time and money just so I can give you my feedback. Also since you went to great lengths to make something you are incredibly passionate about.

Ahh, yeah. I just recently moved myself (back to my hometown, where I've never been to a liquor store since I had been underage) and went to the store and found what I posted above, which I hadn't tried before from Boulder Beer Co. (probably one of my favorite brewers), so I suppose they probably have it. I'll for sure look for it tomorrow.

.

Post the video. I too want to try this concoction. It looks like it'd be good. And if it really does **** you up that quick, better for me. I wish I was a lightweight most of the time... from a money stand point. :|
