WGP VF Tactical Build
I just scored on a nice NOS WGP Tactical body and front block. Been collecting parts for this build for a while now and have almost everything needed except the guards. I have drawn up the guards and will be CNC lasering them soon enough.
Pics of collection so far:
Does anyone happen to know what the original (out of the box) color was of the Tactical? Was it offered in two or three colors? I've seen them in dust black, dust olive drab green, and a combo of both colors. My guess is that the combo colored one was a mutt of the two stock colors combined?

Bah, if you're going to anno it at least make it one of a kind. You could do flat black and lazer engrave an M.C.Escher type pattern in it. You could probably figure out how to use the stylized "W".
Looks good so far.

That was the hardest part of this whole build, finding that front block since it was only on the Tacticals. The original plan was to modify a Prostock body and find the front block. That proved impossible but then I found the whole body kit so that worked..... now I have a Prostock pump

Interesting body. Is there any reason why wgp basically took a normal body sans asa hole and put a mini front block on?

I will offer you a bit of info.. I pmed you some of this but feel other may want to know as well...there are 2 different versions of these your pics above is of the first version.. it came with the black magic barrel .. they did send some of these out with the first version of the Kaner barrel kit and called them a tactical kit with 3 backs and 2 tips and were anodized in the same colors as the markers..
Version 2 had very few differences notably the frame was different.. trigger guard was bigger and had a dovetail milled onto the bottom..this one also came with the redesigned tactical kaner with longer backs.. this kit was also 3 backs and 2 tips... it is interchangeable with the kaner kit with the 7 inch backs as well..
I was looking around to add a link for you as I had seen a tactical set up for sale recently but I cannot seem to find it..
Also if you needed the lower guard and shroud plus the spacer for the shroud I can loan them to you for design purposes..
my brother has an olive one first version and I have a camo in the second version.. plus I have one that was custom with a e-blade on it in a urban acid wash camo.. I had the first kaner in the camo it had shorter backs and a PITA to get off I now have the kaner kit plus the tactical kit with the longer backs

get it flat black but have them laser 'muppet mowing rapestick' on the side in homage to the dremel job somebody did.

Does anyone know what bolt is suppose to be in this Tactical? Orracle bolt? Evo bolt? Delrin? Totally confused now.
Any of these? I thought it was the one with yellow O-rings but then how does the bolt get ano'd on the back portion? So then I thought it was like the black magic bolt, center one. I dunno.

I'm pretty sure it's the center one, too.
WGP only put the full delrin bolts in their E-cockers, as far as I can remember. The higher end mechs got the orracle bolt.

But in the sales brochure for the Tactical it says, "an all delron bolt with o-rings" That's why I'm confused.
