Pump the clutch, if that handles the issue you need to bleed the slave cylinder.

Empty a quart of fluid and replace it with Syncromesh.

If it still does it, replace the synchros.

This sounds quite expensive, lets hope there's air in the slave cylinder lol.

Synchro repair kit is around $50, you can do it yourself, just take your time with a buddy.

Picked up this gem today (well my brother did, I strolled along with him to get it, ie I drove him).

Its a limited. 5.2L V8. 150k, Needs new tires, some dents and dings. One broken window on the rear quarter drivers side. Needs a oil pan gasket. Power steering leaks, so we are probably just going to toss in a refurbished model since they can be had for like $60. Carpet is dirty, but being a '95. Not to bad. Seats are leather, and in top condition. Both front seats are power. Needs a radio. Has a 400w marine amp in it right now with an aux cable to play off a phone, etc. Also need to find a leaky injector and chase a bad ground in one of the doors that causes the battery to drain.

Brother drove it home, and it drove nice. Starts right up. No strange sounds. Rides super nice. AC blows cold.

Plans are just to get it fixed up. Grandparents kept telling us to take it to the local mechanic they go to, but I said no. I don't trust the guy anymore, as he's given us the run-around before. We plan on doing the oil pan gasket tomorrow. Power steering pump in another couple weeks. Need new tires ASAP though, as 3 of them are 245/70/15s and one is 225/70/15. He's planning on going with some 235/75/15s in some ATs. Lift down the road. Probably just a small 2-3 inch lift. Nothing crazy. Needs to be a good, solid DD for him that he can have fun with off-road on some basic trails, etc.

He already took the factory side steps off. And he's loving it. Wiped out damn near his whole paycheck buying it. Knew the guy through JeepForum. The guy needed it gone by the end of the week, or it was going to go the junkyard. It'll be a good DD/fun rig for camping and stuff.

Best part? He only paid $400 for it.

Pics:

I also put on a new bowless soft-top on my TJ since the oem one I had took a **** on me.

Just need to get a set of full soft uppers. Drivers side slider upper I have is in rough shape. Traded my full doors for the half-doors. Half-doors need some new gaskets. Definitely like the looks of the half-doors though.

Getting close to being done....been trying to figure out how I'm gonna do the rear upper shock mounts and where the rear AR sway bar will go and how I'll orient it all. I decided on frenching some towers into the frame for the shock mounts and the sway bar setup will just be uber slick.

All 4 springs in, tires on the ground--18.5" at the belly with almost 6" of up travel at all corners.

Look at those flat links--that's how you do it.

Decided to hook up fuel and battery before leaving and she fired right up......that was nice. If all goes as planned this weekend, she'll be rolling out of the garage for a test drive on Sunday evening.

Yup, it's a 72. Full cage, early amc 360, lockers front and back.

Willing to sell the cj5 for a reasonable offer. Any takers?

Awesome. The 72/73 body style is my favorite, if you were closer I wouldn't mind taking that thing off your hands.

Make sure not to over torque the lug nuts. The spacers dont like that. Also is that a Synergy bracket kit?

I've dealt with wheel spacers before.

Yes, I use many brackets from Poly Performance (Synergy), a couple from Clayton and a couple I made.

I was talking the Synergy spacers in specific. I work at Poly. Which is why I was wondering. Gen-Right's are very similar.

Well that's awesome, I love dealing with you guys.....those are Synergy wheel spacers. You wouldn't be able to give me a deal on some Jaz SFI roll bar padding would you?

Shoot me a PM if you can.

Well that's not exactly encouraging.....I kind of need those to hold up.
