honestly if they gave team discounts and i knew this would improve the quality of reffing at the events i would do this.

Think that would open the door for abuse. I mean it's not un heard of as you said plus NPPL use to have Pro and top Amateur teams ref events for points back in the day. But would you really feel 100% confident that the team you're competing against for series championship would be entirely unbiased?

well it would have to be figured out accordingly. you wouldnt ref teams in your own division. you would need a creative structure to figure out what divisions would best ref other divisions at the best time.

Like i said before. Only way reffing will ever improve is if they get a group of guys who knows how to ref, does nothing but ref and is only worried about pulling hit players, and throwing consitant and fair penatlies on cheaters. Till then, nothing will happen.
Look at it like this, look at all the "improving" all the leagues have done with reffing. Since 04, i havnt seen **** change really, Refs STILL SUCK, the only thing that has changed is you cant manipulate them AS EASILY and they are more willing to actually throw a penalty now.

The solution is simple, yet non of these guys who run these league can figure it out. Maybe if Bret Cooper ran a league i know that atleast the Reffing would be on par...

I thought these refs were great... We took some penalties yeah, but when we asked the ref justified it and what more could be done? We're not going to ***** and complain especially when these guys are spending hours getting shot... Refs make bad calls, every sport is the EXACT same way.

If the refs are inexperienced than fine...If they have reffed alot then there is no excuse. But on the other hand , there is no way in hell if you get hit anyway other than your equip. that you "didnt" feel it. I call bs on anyone besides those stay puff jersey wearing fools...they wouldnt feel ike beating on them. Nut up or shut up is the phrase of the day for this thread.

many are talking about asking for a paint check, i think a hit on the back or back of the shoulder was mentioned earlier, and when the ref found a hit that you couldnt see or get to, but asked for a paintcheck for, you were penalized.

If you rely on the refs to dictate the outcome of the game you shouldnt be on the field.
The problem isnt the reffing its the players.
Play straight up maybe the people you are playing might catch on.
Reffing was great on our field.

This has to be the worst logic I have ever read. Everyone relies on the refs. If they didn't, then there would not be a need for them. If you honestly think that even HALF of the players at a national event play "straight up", you are sadly mistaken. There is money on the line and people will do whatever it takes to win.
So, in summary, good reffing is key to a successful event. Period.

i dont think he's trying to justify bad reffing. he is more or less trying to stop teams from blaming bad rankings and scores on the reffing. refs dont lose games for teams players do.

Rankings and scores directly depend on quality reffing for accuracy. I say players have every right to ***** and moan about bad reffing because it does in fact effect their game. In this sport, reffing CAN change the outcome of a game, or even a match.
So yeah, I guess you're right in saying that I don't understand your flawed logic.

Valid
I know we have a long way to go to make things better. I can only say that we will make it better and we have a lot of work to do. All of you comments are valid, trust me as a player, owner, coach and sponsor of teams throughout paintball history i understand and your preaching to the choir, but it will be the best in the future.
