Remove paint over anodizing?

Ok i received a trigger frame that some hack spraypainted black. Is there anyway to remove the paint without damaging the ano underneath?

Paint thinner, Lacquer thinner, M-E-K, all should work. Anno is hard to strip, put some of those chemicals on a rag and wipe the paint off.

If its really tough you can use aircraft grade paint stripper. I've used it to remove masking.

You could always bead blast or sand blast but they can be hard to come by

I ended up using a spray from home depot called motsenbockers lift off, spray paint graffiti remover.

It worked great (and smelled like oranges). Took a couple applications but it just wiped off.

I wish I had heard of that before I removed the paint off of my ironmen Timmy. No big deal though. Gave me a reason to go nuts with it.
