New G6r owner
Just bought an G6r
Heard it was a pain to take care of. Shot it before and I love the quality of the gun.
Was wondering if I could have some advice on how to take care of the gun. Like
tricks on how to keep the gun firing ropes and straight besides dealing with the pressure.
Oh yeah and what is the bore size of the stock g6r barrel?
Thank you

Whoever told you it was a pain to take care of was probably an Ego owner with an IQ of 12.
Ego maintenance: Take bolt out, unscrew ram cap and remove rammer. Oil both. Put back in. "Wow Ego maintenance is sooooo easy!"
G6R maintenance: Take bolt out, unscrew ram cap and remove ram. Grease ram and oil bolt. Put back in. "ZOMG G6Rs are such a pain to take care of".
For basic after-game maintenance there isn't much difference between a G6R and a [insert other poppit gun here].
If you read the manual, get a pressure tester, and use an LP tank you will not have an issue. If you are too lazy/stupid to do those basic things then you should go buy an Ego and enjoy shooting a subpar gun for $100 more.
Stock G6Rs come with .685 barrels if you order straight from BL (or talk to Tim2thousand4 here) you can get them to give you a two piece in whatever bore size you want.

.685 is the barrel size.
Maintenance is easy if you can read and follow the manual.
Firing "ropes" and straight is your ability to aim and walk the trigger not much to do with the marker itself.

Not unless you want crazy bolt stick. Oil on the bolt, dow 55 on the ram.

I recommend leaving it alone and fight that temptation to completely disassemble/clean before you use it. Don't start adjusting pressures, sweet spotting regs, changing board settings or anything else. I would simply remove the bolt and wipe it off, then put a drop of oil on the bolt orings and take it to your field and spend ~30mins shooting it at the chrono to make sure it's 285-295fps and just getting used to how it feels. Play with it a few wkends or month so you know how it shoots. That way if you make changes, you'll know if they were good changes or bad.

Man wouldn't it be great if there were some large repository of useful knowledge relating to paintball, possibly in some sort of electronic "message board" or forum where people could, with a few minutes of searching, find all manner of pdfs including manuals and troubleshooting guides? I can't believe such a place does not exist, it would be so helpful.

Damn Ski, you've been hanging out with Gamer lately haven't you? Haha.
But yes I must say the search feature is a wonderful tool.

Idk why people have to act like this toward people. Maybe he is looking for a peer's advice over a manual. Maybe some people have little tips and tricks that the manual doesnt list. oh well thats just me

those "tips" or "tricks" outside the manual are the reason so many paintball guns around the world dont work anymore.
